Samsung’s “anti-glare screen” that swallows reflected light is now expanding to Mini LED TV models.

Last year, Samsung launched very effective anti-glare matte screen technology on the high-end OLED TV model S95D. This year, this anti-glare technology has been expanded by the company and included in more TV lines, including mini-LED TVs.

The display scene has many lights but the QD-OLED S95F TV did not show any reflection phenomenon.

Anti-glare technology such as swallowing reflected light has been introduced by Samsung into more TVs including Mini-LED 4K and 8K TVs.

This year’s new QD-OLED S95F TV model has extremely high brightness, using Samsung Display’s newly announced panel capable of reaching a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. According to the company, the anti-glare coating has been improved to further reduce reflections from overhead lights, floor lamps and sunlight. And similar to LG’s flagship 2025 OLED display announced earlier today, the S95F is capable of reaching a maximum screen refresh rate of 165Hz. PC gamers will love this.

However, Samsung’s anti-glare screen also causes controversy. Some people claim that the anti-glare layer reduces image quality, making the perfect black of the OLED panel no longer pitch black in all lighting conditions. This issue has been debated a lot on Reddit, in YouTube videos, and across TV forums.

But clearly Samsung remains undeterred. At this year’s CES, anti-glare screens appeared for the first time on the company’s “Neo QLED” Mini LED TVs including the QN90F 4K model and both 8K models. Samsung’s other 2025 4K TVs will retain the same glossy finish.

Samsung’s 115-inch Neo QLED 4K TV uses the “Supersize Picture Enhancer” feature to improve clarity at extremely large sizes.

Samsung’s latest 2025 Mini LED TVs also come in some really big sizes: the QN90F maxes out at 115 inches, while the QN80F can go up to 100 inches. Samsung says the “Supersize Picture Enhancer” feature will make 4K content look sharp even on that giant QN90F. As usual, Samsung TVs will still not support Dolby Vision.

Vision AI

In 2025, Samsung will bring all of its AI-powered TV features under the new brand called Vision AI. These include the usual features like AI Upscaling, Auto HDR Remastering, and Adaptive Sound Pro. But there’s a new feature called Click to Search that can identify the actor on screen, the location of the shot, or which outfit appears in the shot” with just a click of the new AI button on the remote. “. The new remote on Samsung’s 2025 TVs will have a dedicated AI button.

Another new AI feature is Samsung Food, which “recognizes food on the screen and gives you recipes to make it come true.” Live Translate is another useful feature, which can “instantly translate hidden subtitles on live broadcasts into up to seven languages”.

The company is also using AI to provide stronger home security features. Samsung AI Home Security turns your TV into a smart security center. The TV will analyze the video feed from connected cameras and audio from the TV’s microphone to provide comprehensive home monitoring.

Samsung AI Home Security can also detect unusual sounds and movements, such as falls or break-ins, giving users peace of mind whether at home or away. Users will receive alerts and notifications on their phone or directly on the TV screen, helping you stay connected to your home while ensuring the safety and health of your loved ones.

Samsung even upgraded its virtual assistant Bixby, which can understand context better. Now, users can also control their Samsung TV using the Galaxy Watch worn on their wrist.
