“Leica quality” is increasingly bold, “huge” configuration, equipped with AI features affirming its class in the segment

So after just one day since its global launch, the Xiaomi 14T Series product line, including 2 versions: Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro, has officially appeared in the Vietnamese market. Like its predecessor, this year’s new representative of the T-Series line is still closely associated with Leica – a famous camera company from Germany – in manufacturing lenses as well as refining processing software, providing promising professional photography capabilities.

Especially this year, the Xiaomi 14T Series is also integrated with new AI features, in addition to the image editing capabilities that have appeared from the Xiaomi 14 series, providing an exciting and enhanced user experience. And yet, the outstanding features of the T series such as powerful hardware performance, impressive design and attractive price are still fully inherited by this duo.

The first impression of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is still the minimalist design language, featuring a monochrome back dotted with a rather majestic sized camera cluster and the Xiaomi logo placed in a familiar corner.

Unlike the Xiaomi 14T sibling version, which has a completely flat front and back design that is quite trendy, the Pro version still follows the “classic” style with a gently curved back that hugs the edges. Combined with a flat, square metal frame, this design creates a strong, sturdy grip but is still smooth in the hand, not “light” like on the juniors.

The entire frame, edges as well as the back are finished with a matte finish, giving a smooth touch and especially less fingerprints. Unlike the Xiaomi 14 Series or its predecessor Xiaomi 13T Pro, this year the Xiaomi 14T Pro does not have a version that uses a glass back. Although this can be seen as a move to help save production costs, the writer appreciates this option when the glass back, no matter how attractive, easily attracts fingerprints. Although the matte back solution does not have a glossy finish, it still brings a unique sense of elegance and charm.

Regarding colors this year, Xiaomi 14T Pro will have 3 versions inspired by Titan including: Titan Blue (Blue), Titan Black (Black), Titan Gray (Gray). If black still shows a mysterious and elegant aura, the remaining two colors appear to be extremely trendy, bringing a modern and dynamic direction but still not losing the classy elegance.

Like its predecessor, Xiaomi 14T Pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch screen using an AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and has a scanning frequency of 144Hz. This screen provides sharp, impressive display with somewhat cool color tones but still retains the necessary naturalness in content presentation. The highlight on this screen is its very good brightness that can reach 4000 nits, helping users to use it in outdoor conditions with strong light easily.

The camera is clearly the most notable upgrade on the new generation of Xiaomi 14T Series. Specifically, the company brought the main camera of the high-end Xiaomi 14 Series product line to this device, including the famous Leica Summilux lens system with f/1.6 aperture and 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 900 sensor co-developed by Xiaomi and Leica.

According to Xiaomi, this sensor has a 50MP resolution and integrates advanced Dual ISO Fusion Max technology for a dynamic light sensitivity range of up to 13.5 EV, better supporting the ability to take photos in low light conditions to fully capture all details from bright areas to shadows. That is probably also the reason for Xiaomi to use the name “Capture the colors of the night” at the launch event, as if confirming the low-light photography ability of this model.

In addition, Xiaomi 14T Pro also has a Leica 50MP telephoto lens with a 60mm equivalent shooting angle and a Leica 12MP super wide-angle lens to help satisfy a variety of shooting angles as well as better support portrait photography. With two signature Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant effects, for color reproduction, contrast enhancement and realistic image depth, Xiaomi 14T Pro is also equipped with a BW HC (High Contrast) filter to create monochrome frames with extremely high contrast. Features such as Leica-style watermarks, OIS image stabilization, fast motion focus and RAW shooting capabilities also give users more advanced photography experiences.

The writer had about 2 hours to experience taking photos with Xiaomi 14T Pro and preliminary assessment shows that what Xiaomi announced is completely valid. Images are detailed with sharpness and impressive fast shooting capabilities. Besides, Leica color quality is shown quite clearly, especially with the Leica Vibrant option, which produces deep colors and bright saturation suitable for many different types of photos.

In complex lighting conditions, the contrast is clearly increased, providing more impressive frames without losing details, creating a softness that is not too thorny in the image. And this is maintained even when shooting in low light conditions, the image still appears brilliant, with patches shown with maximum detail, creating reasonable depth. The Xiaomi 14T’s ability to capture focus and capture moments is also very impressive, bringing inspiration to want to take photos much more than other models.

Taking a quick look at the hardware, the Xiaomi 14T Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ processor, MediaTek’s most powerful chip at the present time. That is also the reason why this model has a sky-high GeekBench score with 2147 single-core points and 6783 multi-core points. Combined with 12GB of RAM, it promises to bring a performance experience without thinking.

An interesting point is that Xiaomi 14T Series is the first smartphone model from this manufacturer to integrate many AI features from Google. These include Circle to Search, features related to translation, automatic AI subtitle creation, and AI features for photo editing that have appeared on Xiaomi 14 Series. This is also an interesting upgrade, showing that Xiaomi has focused on upgrading photography capabilities but has not given up on the AI ​​race.

Xiaomi 14T Pro is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supporting fast charging up to 120W like its predecessor. The difference here is that the 120W charger will no longer be included with the device and users will have to buy it outside.
