Marvel Studios revealed the identity of the giant who bought Avengers Tower from Tony Stark
Recently, Marvel Studios released the first official trailer Thunderbolt* – the project will close the 5th phase of the MCU. Besides introducing a completely new team, whose members have all been villains/anti-heroes in the past, Thunderbolt* also answers a question that has existed in the Marvel cinematic universe for the past 7 years: Who bought the Avengers tower from Tony Stark?

Specifically, in the last segment of the trailer Thunderbolt* Yelena Belova, Buck Barnes, John Walker, Ava Starr and Alexei Shostakov went together to the Avengers’ old headquarters to meet the person behind this team’s reluctant cooperation. This is the person who is in charge of Stark’s state-of-the-art tower, and has also appeared in a number of previous Marvel Studios projects: Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
Valentina was the one who recruited John Walker in the ending of The Falcon & the Winter Soldier, and was also the one who “pulled the strings” when Yelena hunted down Clint Barton in Hawkeye. Next, blockbuster Black Panther: Wakanda Forever revealed that Valentina is currently taking on the role of Director of the CIA in the MCU. However, it is still unclear whether the acquisition of Avengers Tower is part of the CIA’s plan, or is Valentina’s personal plot.
In an interview with ComicBook Last July, president Kevin Feige affirmed that Marvel Studios had planned to reveal the identity of the new owner of Avengers Tower for a long time. Having gone through many adjustments in planning, with many projects being temporarily suspended, the ideas related to the Avengers’ first headquarters remain unchanged. And Thunderbolt* perhaps the most suitable movie for them to answer this long-standing problem, especially since the Avengers tower appeared in the latest trailer.

Meanwhile, the Avengers have “moved home” to Avengers Compound – a large warehouse of Stark Industries and has been renovated.
The Avengers have been on hiatus since the event Avengers: Endgame (2023 in MCU).
