By the way, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is in the top 10 best-selling games of Nintendo with 30.65 million copies sold. I would like to use the excuse to share a little personal perspective between the two games Zelda BOTW and Genshin Impact.

This article is a bit of my random gossip to review my childhood and personal perspective on these two rather “rolled” games.

The Zelda series, especially for me, is the game Zelda The Minish cap, which has been closely associated with my childhood as well as with many generations of brothers who have gone through the old game room systems of 2011 and 2012 but still lacked the internet and had to play. Internet stores to download game copies to USB. Until the explosive release of the game The Legend of Zelda: BOTW or most recently The Legend of Zelda Tear of the Kingdom. All are extremely beautiful experiences for a fan of the Zelda game series like me.

Zelda the Minish Cap

Looking at the graphic reminds me of a past childhood :(((

Since the first game released until now, The Legend of Zelda and especially the first official open world game “Breath of the Wild” have always had super new features, and mechanisms to do everything. We all wonder, “How did the Japanese game makers come up with such great ideas and add them to the game?”. From a large open map, interactions between NPCs and players, main side quests…etc., we were stunned by the authenticity that a game can bring.

But what about Genshin Impact? Why put this game into discussion on the same scale as The Legend of Zelda? The reason here is that, when it comes to Genshin Impact, I always see a negative view of this game such as: “knockoff game”, “stealing ideas”, “using the entire map and Anime style into it”. ”. But not at all, it’s interestingly different!

I started playing Genshin Impact since it was released. At first when I first entered the game, especially if I was familiar with open world offline games, Genshin at that time made me feel… beautiful, but very dizzy. Because I don’t know what to do or where to start when I arrive on the mainland of Teyvat. But then after a while of following NPCs and doing main quests, I gradually realized that “Hyrule and Teyvat are really different”. Or at least Mihoyo has managed to bring his own game idea into something very unique that is not at all similar to The Legend of Zelda as it initially seemed.

The most special difference in my personal opinion lies here:

Genshin Impact has fast gameplay, creating new combos by flexibly changing between characters. The missions and movement mechanics also sometimes make us feel…frustrated? But because of running KPIs, the feeling of plowing the map, picking up nearly 1,000 prodigies or finding 76 Aranyakas is quite attractive when completed.

Genshin vs Zelda?

Plowing is very attractive to Genshin, but to Zelda, relaxation is the appeal

Zelda has a much slower gameplay, most of us focus on relaxing and finding solutions to the mysteries scattered around the map. The satisfaction of knowing how to parry and create highlights when killing a Lynel for the first time? There are 1,000 Koroks, but finding them is not like a farming game like Genshin. Everything is very leisurely, there is no rush feeling like Genshin and both have a very unique chill.

Plow 1000 Koroks in every corner of Hyrule and get a worthy reward =)))

Although there are some similarities and somewhat the same identity of the Action-RPG genre, Genshin Impact and The Legend of Zelda are still two separate games with their own styles and experiences, suitable for their interests and preferences. each player’s request.

Another interesting thing about Genshin is the Waifu… well. Very interesting 🙂

The Legend of Zelda: Tear of the Kingdom

Or this 300 year old girl 🙂 (The Legend of Zelda: Tear of the Kingdom)

In short, this article is not to say which game is more attractive or which game is plagiarized! I spent a lot of time exploring both of these games, and it was well worth it. Both Hyrule and Teyvat made me immerse myself in hundreds of hours of very unique experiences. This article is my small narrative to honor both great games that I have been attached to and probably have not given up on either one. How about you? What do you think about Zelda and Genshin Impact?
