The 2021 Cadillac Escalade continues to share the same platform with the Chevy Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon. If you pay close attention, you can see that the chrome lines around the windows have also been modified to better suit the large size of the Escalade.

Similar to the standard version, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV receives a long list of standard equipment, with a heated steering wheel, a classy 20-speaker sound system, keyless start and especially a powerful 6.2L V8 engine under the hood. All of this brings the basic price of the “American dinosaur” Cadillac Escalade ESV 2021 long wheelbase version up to 80,490 USD (nearly 1.9 billion VND). Unfortunately, customers will have to spend more money for variants from Premium Luxury and above to be able to own seats covered in real cowhide, instead of the standard leatherette.

In addition to rich and high-class decorative materials, the cabin of the Cadillac Escalade ESV 2021 also stands out with its curved and extremely thin OLED display screen. This is a screen system up to 38 inches in size, made up of 3 main screens arranged next to each other: a 7.2 inch touch screen is located right to the left of the driver; a 14.2-inch screen located behind the steering wheel, displaying full vehicle operating parameters like a regular dashboard; A 16.9-inch screen is located in the center, serving as an infotainment screen – of course, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections.

The highlight lies not only in the layout of the 38-inch curved OLED screen system, but also in the screen technology with twice the pixel density of a current 4K TV. The 2021 Escalade ESV’s infotainment system is supported by a standard AKG sound system including 19 speakers and a huge subwoofer paired with a 14-channel amplifier. All of this equipment promises to bring extremely top-notch and realistic entertainment experiences.

As you know, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade was announced with 2 different engine configuration options: 3.0L Turbo diesel engine with 277 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque; 6.2L V8 gasoline engine with 420 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Regarding fuel consumption, through testing, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV weighs 6270 pounds (~ 2844 kg) with a 6.2L V8 engine and optional part-time 4-wheel drive system consuming about 12.4L for 100km of highway, 16.8L for 100km of mixed roads.

As mentioned, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV is upgraded with an independent rear suspension to provide much more impressive steering and handling. Not only that, because the leaf spring suspension system on the previous generation took up a lot of rear space, the presence of an independent rear suspension system also makes the car’s luggage compartment more spacious. Specifically, the Escalade ESV 2021 has a luggage compartment with a total capacity of up to 4,043 liters when the second and third row seats are completely folded flat – an increase of 18.1% compared to the previous generation and about 428 liters more than the standard Escalade 2021.

Not stopping there, the Escalade ESV 2021 is also equipped with a Magnetic Ride Control magnetic damping system combined with an air suspension system, using sensors to recognize road conditions and automatically adjust the shock absorbers immediately. These two features are often found on GM’s large SUVs, greatly enhancing the vehicle’s smooth and stable driving experience.
