How to deal with each enemy in 99 Nights in the Forest
To help players survive more easily, below is a list of all the enemies in 99 Nights in the Forest and how to defeat them. However, the game is still in development, so as the developers add new enemies, this guide will be updated.
Wolf (Wolf)
The wolf deals 19 damage, has 70 health and moves quite fast (speed 23). To take them down without taking damage, the player can jump on their back and attack or hide behind logs to get them stuck. A safer way is to trap bears and then shoot them in the head with a pistol. When destroyed, the wolf will drop Steak Morsel, Wolf Pelt, and Red Key (if it is a guard wolf).
Alpha Wolf (Leader Wolf)
Stronger than regular wolves with 22 damage and 90 health, Alpha Wolf requires players to use spears to both attack and run around. Additionally, long-range weapons like pistols or rifles are also good choices. If defeated, you will receive Steak Morsel, Alpha Wolf Pelt, Blue Key (if the leader is guarding it).
Cultist (Belieber)
This type of enemy has many variations, some use crossbows with 15 damage, others use old axes (7 damage) or spiked maces (30 damage). They have 70 health, speed 12 or 16 (if ranged attacks). When encountering a Cultist using a crossbow, approach quickly because they are weak in close combat. Other types of Cultists are also easy to destroy if gamers attack directly. They often drop Cultist Gem, Mossy Coin and Ammo.
Bear
The bear is one of the dangerous enemies with damage of 35, maximum health of 300 and speed of 28. You should only fight from a distance with guns and take advantage of narrow passages to keep the bear trapped. When destroyed, gamers will receive Steak Bear, Pelt Morsel, Yellow Key and Gray Key (in the cave).
Polar Bear (White Bear)
More dangerous than regular bears with 50 damage and 500 maximum health, white bears should only be taken down with guns. Avoid close combat because even with armor, gamers can be killed in just 1-2 hits. They drop Steak and Morsel when destroyed.
Alien (Alien)
This enemy uses high-tech weapons such as ray guns, laser swords or laser cannons, dealing about 20 damage, maximum health about 70, speed 16. When fighting, you should separate to destroy and prioritize using long-range weapons.
Deer
This is a night predator with extremely fast speed (~30) and unlimited health. They deal more than 25 damage, so avoid going into the forest after dark. If chased, use a flashlight to temporarily stun them or take advantage of the fact that they are easily stuck in trees to escape.
Owl
Owl is one of the secondary antagonists in the game, along with Ram. It appears in snowy areas and has a chance to appear when night begins, replacing Deer. When Owl appears, it activates a unique stealth mini-game where gamers must stand still to avoid being detected by it. If it catches you or your teammates moving around too much, it will start chasing and attacking the nearest player. Like Deer, players can stun Owl with a flashlight or run towards a campfire.
Ram (Goat)
Ram is another secondary antagonist in the game, along with Owl. It appears in volcanic areas, and has the ability to appear at night, replacing Deer. Its behavior is quite similar to Deer: it chases you when it detects you are too far from the campfire at night and can use a flashlight to stun it for a short time. However, Ram also has a special attack in which it stops for a few seconds to charge up, then rushes straight at you, damaging all players in its path and knocking over any trees it hits.
