Join Toyota Rush to conquer Long Coc tea hill

This seemingly very attractive plan was enthusiastically responded to by the brothers, so we chose a 7-seater car with a high chassis so that we could “carry” a lot of things as well as ensure we wouldn’t “drown” when climbing hills and mountains. After discussion, one Toyota Rush has been selected to prepare for departure.

To wriggle through urban roads before merging onto the highway, the Toyota Rush proved quite agile, with the electric power steering giving a quite smooth feeling. The proof is that with just one-handed operation, the car can turn in the right direction according to the driver’s wishes.

The first highway leg, more than 80 km long, from Long Bien to Viet Tri, was completed by Toyota Rush without much difficulty. Of course, with 5 young passengers who always like to have loud music accompanying them on every trip, increasing the volume to “chill music and raise the mood” is not difficult. However, if Rush had better soundproofing, it would be a great thing because on long journeys that sometimes last all day, passengers will definitely need quiet to take a nap.

The next leg is 37 km long, turning down to the beginning of Viet Tri city and following National Highway 32C and Provincial Road 322 to Thanh Son town, which is mainly a national highway, with paved road surface and on both sides are clusters of houses interspersed with fields. On the way, the whole group listened to the older brother driving and narrating the arduous journey of more than ten years holding the steering wheel from North to South, to bring reviews and useful information to more than 2 million regular viewers, through thousands of videos that have been broadcast, attracting nearly a billion views.

The final stage is more than 20 km long from town into the Tan Son area with many steep and winding sections that begin to challenge the Toyota Rush even more. However, thanks to the lightness of the electric power steering and the fine tuning of the gearbox (even though it is only a 4-speed automatic), the Rush appears quite agile and responds well to the driver’s wishes.

The end of this stage is the most challenging road, leading from the provincial road to the tea hill area, including extremely high slopes, sharp turns with a surface full of dirt and small rocks, the width of the road surface is only a little larger than the body of a car – just enough for 1 car and 1 motorbike to avoid each other.
