| Newspaper Zombie |  | Initially moves slowly, when the newspaper is lost it will run twice as fast and get angry. |
| Screen Door Zombie |  | Wears a screen door, unaffected by Snow Pea unless the door is removed (by Magnet-shroom). |
| Football Zombies |  | Wearing a rugby helmet, very buff and moving fast. |
| Dancing Zombies |   | Dances while moving, summoning Backup Dancer. |
| Backup Dancer |   | Go in groups of 4, summoned again if Dancing Zombie is alive. |
| Ducky Tube Zombie |  | Only appears in swimming pools, has the same strength as the land version. There are Flag, Conehead, Buckethead, ZomBotany variants. |
| Snorkel Zombie |  | Immune to most attacks while underwater, only surfacing to eat plants. |
| Zomboni |  | The driver crushed the tree, leaving behind a trail of ice. |
| Zombie Bobsled Team |  | Only appears on Zomboni’s ice trail, consisting of 4 zombies. Once the bandage is gone, you will be able to walk normally. |
| Dolphin Rider Zombie |  | Ride a dolphin and jump over the tree, very quickly before jumping. |
| Jack-in-the-Box Zombies |  | Carry explosive boxes, move twice as fast as regular zombies. |
| Balloon Zombies |  | Fly over the ground, immune to ground attacks. |
| Digger Zombie |  | Dig from right to left, eat plants from behind. |
| Pogo Zombies |  | Jump continuously with the pogo stick, stopping when you encounter Tall-nut. |
| Zombie Yeti |  | Runs away if not killed, drops diamonds when destroyed |
| Bungee Zombies |  | Steal trees or drop zombies from above. |
| Ladder Zombies |  | Use the ladder to get over the barrier and avoid Snow Pea. |
| Catapult Zombie |  | Throw the basketball into the tree at the end of the row, crushing it if you get too close. |
| Gargantuar |  | Very tanky, throws Imp when injured, crushes trees instead of eating. |
| Imp |  | Thrown into the defensive line by Gargantuar. |
| Dr. Zomboss |  | Final boss, has double health in “Dr. Zomboss’s Revenge” mode. |
Trash Can Zombies
|  | Zombies have shields, move at about 1/4 the speed of regular zombies, and only appear in the console and DS versions. |
Target Zombies
|  | Only appears in Versus Mode. The tree side’s goal is to destroy these 3 zombies. |
Peashooter Zombie
|  | Shoots beans at plants, only appears in ZomBotany and ZomBotany 2. |
Wall-nut Zombie
|  | Takes a huge amount of damage, only appears in ZomBotany and ZomBotany 2. |
Gatling Pea Zombie
|  | Shoots 4 particles at once, only appears in ZomBotany 2. |
Tall-nut Zombie
|  | Withstands about 2 instant kills from Potato Mine and Squash, other instant kill skills that can kill it in 1 hit, appear in ZomBotany 2. |
Jalapeno Zombie
|  | Explodes after a short time and destroys all plants in the row, only appears in ZomBotany 2. |
Squash Zombies
|  | Crush the first plant it comes close to, moves faster than regular zombies, only appears in ZomBotany 2. |
Giga-Football Zombie
|  | Appears in Plants vs. Zombies Web version in Survival: Endless and Vasebreaker. Has roughly the same amount of health as a Gargantuar. |
| Giga-gargantuar |  | Takes 4 instant kills, but Lawn Mower, Pool Cleaner and Roof Cleaner can kill instantly. Crush plants instead of eating them, and throw Imps when near death. |
Catapult Baseball Zombie
|  | Only appears in Homerun Derby. |
| Baseball Zombies |  | Only appears in Homerun Derby. |
