Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has just officially activated the “blockbuster” for the 2026 season. Accordingly, the Esports World Cup (EWC) – the largest electronic sports event on the planet – will return to Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from July 6 to August 23, 2026 with a total prize fund of up to 75 million USD.

This is a record number affirming EWC’s position in the global Esports ecosystem. This year’s event will bring together more than 2,000 players and 200 top clubs from more than 100 countries, competing throughout 7 weeks to find the ultimate champion.

Attractive prize structure: EWC’s core difference is to honor the collective strength of clubs (Club Championship) instead of just focusing on individual games.

30 million USD is reserved for the Club Championship category (an increase of 3 million USD compared to last year). The champion club will “pocket” 7 million USD. More than 39 million USD is the total prize money for the championships of each game discipline. The rest will be for individual awards (MVP), qualifying awards and side events.

Mr. Ralf Reichert, CEO of EWCF, shared that this huge reward fund is a commitment to long-term support for gamers and clubs – the pillars of the world Esports scene. Specifically, he said: “We created this huge prize fund to support the backbone of esports – the players and clubs who have invested long-term in this subject. EWC is different in the club championship format. Instead of just honoring the champion in one discipline, EWC will find the best club across all game titles.”
