TCL launched the first Mini LED TV of 2025
The company claims that this TV, the first in the new Precise Dimming series, “delivers unprecedented picture quality in its price range”.
Highlights of the QM6K Mini LED include up to 500 local dimming zones, new 144Hz low-speed panel (can be pushed to 288Hz VRR in Game Accelerator mode), new Dolby Vision filmmaker mode, Hands-free voice control from Google TV and even a “sleep sound” mode, which could be useful for those who have a TV in their bedroom.

The feature that TCL focuses on most on the QM6K Mini LED is improved backlighting technology. The company said it has upgraded to a Bi-directional 23-bit Backlight Controller, allowing the TV to have detailed control of more than 65,000 brightness levels for each LED. This controller manages a new high-power LED chip, delivering 10% improved performance and up to 53% more brightness.
In addition, TCL also introduced a new Dynamic Light Algorithm, which intelligently optimizes the incoming video signal so that the SDR signal displays at a near HDR level.
Another innovation on the 2025 QM6K Mini LED TV is the ‘Zero Delay Transient Response’ system. The company claims that the system has “virtually no delay between the input signal and the backlight response”, eliminating lag in the miniLED zones when switching from very dark to very bright images for deep blacks. and more accurate peak brightness.
It’s unusual to have prices for new TVs at CES, but TCL has announced prices for the North American market. QM6K Mini LED comes in many sizes from 50 inches to 98 inches. Users in North America can pre-order from today.

- 85 inches: 1,999.99 USD (50 million VND)
- 75 inches: 1,299.99 USD (33 million VND)
- 65 inches: 999.99 USD (25 million VND)
- 55 inches: 799.99 USD (20 million VND)
- 50 inches: 749.99 USD (19 million VND)
QM7K is available in sizes up to 115 inches
Besides the QM6K Mini LED model, TCL also revealed a new QM7K with a size of up to 115 inches (code name 115QM7K).

The 115-inch QM7K succeeds the current 115-inch QM891G, with the lower model number suggesting the 115-inch version could cost a bit less this year.
According to Flatpannelshd, the LCD panel on the TCL 2025 TV will also have a new quantum dot film layer that provides DCI-P3 color coverage up to 98% for HDR movies and games. TCL’s current models offer about 95% DCI-P3.
Additionally, TCL has hinted that some 2025 models will have LCD panels with wider viewing angles, seemingly confirming rumors of the launch of WHVA LCD panels in some 2025 models from TCL and Samsung. This new panel will maintain the current native contrast level of up to 7000:1 but will not be available in the QM6K.
