MONGIL: STAR DIVE is an action role-playing game (ARPG) where you collect monsters and rotate between a squad of 3 characters in a colorful fantasy world. In this game, choosing the right team can make the difference between victory and defeat.

Game version 1.0 now has a list of 20 unique characters, and the game’s meta has finally stabilized. This comprehensive ranking will help you understand each character’s current power ranking.

S-class character

These characters define current competitive standards. Their unique mechanism allows to overcome traditional limitations.

Explosive damage

• Mina (Fire): Symbol of wide area control ability and explosive Fire damage. Not only can she clear the screen instantly, her skill loop also allows for huge amounts of damage to be sustained continuously.
• Ophelia (Ice): The pinnacle of Ice-type explosive damage. With outstanding shield breaking ability, she is a must-have weapon to conquer highly difficult bosses.

Sustained damage

• Esther (Phong): Using stealth and backstabbing mechanics, she maintains extremely high DPS in long battles thanks to her strong and stable damage multiplier.
• Sangun (Earth): Master of control and counterattack. As long as the match continues, his pull and combo mechanics will create constant pressure on the enemy.

Support

• Daisy (Earth): Currently the only support that reaches Meta level. Her versatility allows her to fit perfectly into any elemental formation.

Level A: Strong character

These characters are like the backbone of elemental squads, reliable and shining in their own roles.

Explosive damage

• Flare (Fire): Possesses the highest basic ATK stat in the game. The ability to reduce Dragon Shadow’s resistance and damage is extremely explosive.
• Benjamin (Lei): Split gameplay with very high power ceiling. When operating optimally, creates a huge amount of effects and damage.
• Yeonhwa (Lei): Assassin with critical concentration. Phantom combination attacks help her finish off targets extremely quickly.
• Angel (Fire): Even though she is classified as an Assassin, her off-field coordination mechanism helps her become the hidden engine of the Fire burst team.
• Reina (Lei): The armor breaking expert combines burst, gathering energy to deliver a single but fatal finishing blow.

Sustained damage

• Leeho (Fire): Hunter’s Mark mechanism helps maintain extremely stable damage, along with the ability to reduce Fire resistance well.
• Penny (Lei): The core of long-range kite flying gameplay. Gold Coin mechanism helps maintain stamina and attack continuously.
• Gabi (Earth): Warriors are prone to petrification. Can maintain almost constant hard control while still dealing consistent damage.
• Verna (Fire): Based on her passive active combo, she is a highly mobile DPS of the Fire type.

Support

• Jiwon (Phong): Perfect balance between team buff and control. Large amounts of HP help increase fault tolerance.
• Francis (Turkey): Converts DEF to healing. Toxic mist that reduces DEF is a game changer for the Physics and Earth teams.
• Bonnie (Phong): The Resonance mechanism has a very high power ceiling when facing the majority.
• Narae (Ice): Regional support, buffs long-range attacks and provides a protective shield.

Level B: Situational character

They are tactical experts, shining in specific environments, elemental matchups or experimental formations.

• Ellie (Earth): Unique Snack drop mechanic makes her a portable battery, providing healing and shield penetration that other Destroyers do not have.
• Cloud (Ice): Pure Ice ranged DPS. Penetrating arrows are extremely effective in narrow dungeon corridors.
• Sera (Phong): The core of the Wind – Ice hybrid meta. Despite her slow start, her ability to permanently freeze bosses makes her extremely valuable in the endgame.

Strategy Version 1.0

• Fire is still the king of DPS: Teams that revolve around Mina and Flare provide the highest performance for daily farming and fast passage.
• Lightning and Wind system skills: Characters like Benjamin and Esther are very strong but require precise positioning (e.g. dodging for 3 seconds or sneaking) to maximize their effectiveness.
• Earth system defense: With the Gabi and Francis combo, the Turkish team becomes the top choice for non-death challenges at extremely high difficulty.
• Tips for newbies: Prioritize rolling a Burst Carry Tier 1 (like Mina) and combine it with Support Tier 2 (like Jiwon or Francis). This “two number 1” combo helps you smoothly overcome the entire early and mid game.
