Planet of Lana 2 – Game Review
Planet of Lana 2 is an indie game in the puzzle adventure genre, following the team’s successful debut Wishfully Games.
However, the puzzle part of this release made players quite disappointed, although the plot and world-building with its grandeur and mystery attracted quite a lot.
So whether? Planet of Lana 2 Can you “remove” your shortcomings to become a memorable indie game?
Let’s go together Vietgame.asia Find out through the following review, please.

THE STORY IS PRETTY GOOD, THE GAMEPLAY IS ENTERTAINING ENOUGH!
The plot of Planet of Lana 2 takes place right after the end of the previous part, now Lana no longer has to worry about her tribe. But the question of her origin or the mysterious world behind it still motivates her.
Until one day when Lana, Mui and a little girl were exploring, another force accidentally attacked and put the girl following them in a critical state.
And so Lana and Mui, once again, adventured everywhere to find items to make medicine to save their younger brother’s life.

Just like the first version, Planet of Lana 2 still retains the spirit of bringing a beautiful world and is extremely reminiscent of the famous “Star Wars” brand and there is even a segment that if you are a fan of the Ghibli movie “Princess Mononoke”, you will definitely enjoy it!
Obviously the game cannot be that rich and vast. Although confined to a horizontal screen, the watercolor graphic style combined with eye-catching highlights and shadows along with the architecture and world-building are still capable of creating beautiful pictures, along with many rich contexts throughout the journey.
Not to mention the background music is really good Planet of Lana 2and not to mention the company also made… its own language for the game! Environmental sounds or environmental noises in general are meticulously cared for, bringing depth to both listening and viewing.
Maybe in terms of the overall plot, Planet of Lana 2 does not bring any memorable character depth, other than Lana and Mui, but the good representation of the stories hidden behind the beautiful settings can also somewhat cultivate those who desire to know more about this planet, even though besides the main story is somewhat simple, but the game is easy to understand.

Having said that, the game still has a few slight, quite surprising twists in the plot.
About my gameplay Planet of Lana 2we will regularly control the two main characters. Little Lana now also has the ability to run fast and slide, as well as swim, and in addition to the hacking skill of “transforming” bad robots into good ones, little Mui also has the ability to “transform” into fish, small creatures capable of creating silk lines or controlling and freezing some types of robots to help solve puzzles with Lana in many different cases.

The puzzle sequences don’t have too many unique features and still focus a lot on pushing things or hiding. However, it cannot be denied that the company brings more diverse and drastic situations, to create tension when players have to constantly use all the strengths and weaknesses of both characters to solve the puzzle.
And the writer finds that the gameplay that focuses on Mui is often much more difficult than Lana’s gameplay. Especially the passages that transform into fish or small creatures that create silk to guide fire. The writer has to try and retry many times to pass.
The other good thing is Planet of Lana 2 does not give any instructions, even though the player is “stuck” there. Forcing players to look closely at the environment and think more to solve it. Overall, the game distributes the story line, explores and solves puzzles relatively well and does not drag.

THE PUZZLES ARE REMAINED AND DO NOT IMPROVE
The writer when playing titles like Limbo nice Insideand although other non-2D games such as Flowers, Journey Everyone feels that the puzzle solving part finds its way into the narrative and the world very naturally. As if they inherently belonged to that world with a certain level of logic. It’s not like, “Hey, why are there all these difficult moving things in here?” “Don’t the soldiers who live there have to climb and solve puzzles like Lana to move between areas?”
Or to put it more easily, most of the puzzles in Planet of Lana 2 It still looks like “filler”, patchy and disjointed, just put in to make the game longer. It says longer, but actually players can complete it in anywhere from 4-7 hours of play, which is relatively short.

This seemingly disjointed puzzle part was originally a “weakness” of the previous part but has not been completely overcome until now, even though the company is trying to bring more challenges to the game.
Although the game plot is simple, there are also problems in implementation! For example, why was he able to give extremely specific instructions for Lana to set out to find ingredients, even though this was the first time the tribe was exposed to a new disease? It feels as if the game tries to “push” the player into these settings quickly, rather than creating more depth to the emotions of the characters as a whole.
