Rayman Legends Retold reappears on October 1, adding new storyline and levels – Game News
Ubisoft was officially announced Rayman Legends Retolda re-imagined version of the classic platformer, will release on October 1, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, GeForce Now and Blacknut.
Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, Rayman Legends Retold returns players to the world of Glade of Dreams in an all-new adventure. This time, Rayman and familiar friends like Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus and Murphy will face a mysterious force that is spreading chaos throughout the kingdoms.
According to Ubisoft, the project was built with the goal of retaining the elements that made the game successful Rayman Legendswhile expanding the story, world, and connections within the Rayman universe to accommodate a new generation of players.
One of the most notable changes of Rayman Legends Retold is a refreshed image with a more modern 3D style, helping the Glade of Dreams world become more vivid and rich in detail than before.
The new version also adds a series of content that never appeared in the original, including:
- Completely new storyline.
- Cutscenes are fully voiced.
- All-new sixth Realm.
- Four new musical levels.
- High-speed dragon riding segments.
- New Cave of Trials challenge series.
- Kung Foot mode returns with improved controls and rules customization options.
- Extensive soundtrack by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.
Besides, Ubisoft also said that many gameplay mechanisms have been refined to provide a smoother and more modern experience.
Another notable point is that all versions of Rayman Legends Retold are all included Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition.
This upgraded version supports 4K resolution, 60 FPS frame rate, adds new collectibles, new rewards and many experience quality improvements. On compatible controllers, the game also supports haptic feedback.
Ubisoft confirmed that players who pre-order any version of the game will receive the Hoodlum Havoc Pack, which includes two outfits inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc for Rayman and Globox.
