People can use filters when participating in meetings and online lessons on Zoom using both computers and phones, whether in self-created rooms or joining other people’s rooms. However, it should be noted that users only use Zoom’s filters when participating in the meeting.

How to add filters in the Zoom application on PC

To enable filters in Zoom on PC, users need to have 64-bit Windows and have version 5.2.0 (42634.0805) or higher installed.

If you are using macOS, you need to install Zoom version 5.2.0 (42634.0805) or later and must be running on macOS 10.13 or later.

Step 1: Start or join a new meeting.

Step 2: Click small arrow side Start the video and press Select video filter.

Step 3: Select a filter and tap Download to confirm loading of filters.

Step 4: Tap a favorite filter to apply it to the current Zoom meeting.

• On Zoom’s main interface, click settings icon in the upper right corner (below the avatar).

How to add Zoom filter on iOS and Android devices

Step 4: Return to the Zoom meeting and tap arrow next to Start the video. Then click Snap Camera and the filter selected on Snap Camera will be applied in Zoom.

If you want to change to another filter, just go back to Snap Camera and select another filter, it will be automatically applied in Zoom.

To turn off the Snap Camera filter, users simply need to return to the default camera or close the Snap Camera application.

Snap Camera and Zoom both have built-in filters so users can get a little creative with filters.

To do this, use Snap Camera as your camera on Zoom. Then add the desired filter using Zoom’s built-in filters.

How to use Studio Effects in Zoom

Studio effects in Zoom allow users to change facial elements such as eyebrows, lip color, and beard. This feature is similar to effects on social networks Instagram or Snapchat. To use this new feature, people should ensure they have the latest version of the app installed. Studio effects are not available for mobile users, can only be used on PC.

How to enable Studio Effects

Install the latest version of the Zoom app on your PC, then open the app. Go to page Setting located in the top right corner, just below the profile photo icon.

In the menu Settingselect Backgrounds & Filters. Continue clicking options Studio Effects in the lower right corner.

If installing Zoom for the first time, pressing the Studio Effects button will display a window and ask to download this effects pack. Select Download to start downloading the Studio Effects package.

Once the download is complete, a new pane will open on the far right side of the Backgrounds & Filters tab called Studio Effects. This place contains all the facial effect options.

Each facial feature or effect comes with 3 customization options. This includes Shape, Color and Opacity. Users adjust these 3 options to achieve the desired effect. Finally, click Close to save changes.

How to change characteristics in Studio Effects

Change eyebrows

Eyebrows are the first editable part in Studio Effects with a total of 7 eyebrow styles. Click to choose any desired eyebrow shape.

Second, people need to choose their eyebrow effect color from the available color options or create a custom color. Finally, change the opacity of the filter with the slider to increase or decrease as desired.

Change beard

The options for changing the beard are similar to those for eyebrows. There are 7 beard/mustache options in Effects: Blaze, Royale, Pencil, Circle, Handlebar, Horseshoe, and Chevron. Once they have chosen the beard or mustache they like, people simply choose the color and opacity and it will appear on the face.

Change lip color

For lip color, there are only 2 change options: color and opacity. Users can choose their favorite lip color from the color palette, then adjust the appropriate density using the slider.
