How to unlock more Pokemon in Pokemon Champions
Even though you start with a pre-selected list of Pokémon, Owning more Pokémon in Pokémon Champions is essential to building a comprehensive team. Here it is How to unlock more Pokemon when playing Pokemon Champions.
In Pokémon Champions, acquiring additional Pokémon is done at the Recruit Ranch (Menu) and by using Victory Points, the main currency in the game. But there are other ways to get more Pokémon, from transferring Pokémon from Pokémon HOME and other games, to daily Pokémon picks. If you’re ready to become the best Pokemon trainers and climb to the top in Ranked Battle, here’s everything they need to know to build the strongest squads ever.
How to get more Pokemon in Pokemon Champion
First, you need to access the Recruit Ranch, a special menu where players can choose a Pokemon from a daily list, selected from the Regular Roster MA, available from 02:00 UTC April 8, 2026 to 01:59 UTC June 27, 2026 (after that, the Roster will reset and bring a new batch of Pokemon).
Players can encounter a new lineup of Pokemon every 22 hours (without using VP), or they can speed up the process by using VP or Quick Coupons to shorten the waiting time to recruit another Pokemon.
Each daily Pokemon pick is completely random, and to view the current list of Pokemon, players need to do the following:
- Next Recruit
- Select Recruit Pokemon
- Click Roster Info
Players can also transfer Pokemon from other games into Pokemon Champions using Pokemon Home. To do this, you first need to transfer some eligible Pokemon according to current regulations into your Pokemon HOME box, then follow these steps:
- Sign in Pokemon HOME and choose Send Pokemon for a Visit to Pokemon Champions Pokemon. (Options in the lower right corner).
- Once inside, mark with (A) each Pokemon you want to send.
- To complete the process, press (Y).
- The Pokemon you choose will now be transferred to Recruit Ranch. Now you need to click Collect from Pokemon HOME.
The Pokémon Pokemon Champions players receive this way will be permanently unlocked and players can use them as long as they want, but there is one thing to keep in mind. This method will create a “copy” of that Pokémon. This copy retains information such as ID number, Poké Ball, moves, abilities, personality and receives stats based on the (balanced) power level of the Pokémon Champion.
When Pokémon are transferred back to Pokémon HOME and to another game, the first copy created in Pokémon HOME will remain unchanged, but cannot be used. When the player sends that same Pokémon back to Pokémon HOME, the copy will be reactivated, allowing that Pokémon to be used again. However, a Pokémon’s stats and other details cannot be changed outside of the Pokémon Champions ecosystem.
Sent Pokemon cannot be trained; This is to prevent genning and other illegal tactics. Even if trainers make changes to that Pokemon in other games, some changes will not carry over to Pokemon Champions.
You start Pokémon Champions with a storage limit of 30 Pokémon, and this limit is divided equally between recruited Pokémon and those coming from Pokémon Home. You can extend the limit by purchasing a starter pack (increases the limit to 80) or a membership plan (increases the limit to 1,000). Whatever your limit is, when you reach the maximum limit, you will have to send a Pokémon back to the farm or Pokémon Home if you want to recruit more.
