Truth Arena season 16 officially enters the PBE testing phase from November 18, 2025, usually opening in the morning time frame (about 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Vietnam time). It is expected that the official version will arrive on the regular server on November 18, 2025 with update 16.1. During the PBE phase, players can experience all new clans, skills, mechanics as well as experiment with diverse strategies before the real season begins.

Create a PBE League of Legends account, create a PBE DTCL account

Step 1: Visit the registration link to download the PBE version of League of Legends below, select SIGN UP FOR PBE. If you already have a LOL PBE account, skip this step and scroll down to select the LOL PBE download link. Select Windows if you are using Windows operating system and Mac OS if you are using Macbook, iMac or other devices running macOS.

Step 2: Fill in your email before you write down your account name and password. After filling in your email, select the arrow below to go to the next step.

Step 3: Enter the username and password, then Next.

Step 4: Finally, confirm your account and password one last time before creating a LOL PBE account.

Step 5: If you already have a LOL PBE account created before, please select the download link below and skip

And choose one of the two operating system versions you are using to download the LOL PBE corresponding to that version.

Step 6: The PBE server installation download file will be downloaded immediately and has the name below.

Step 7: Click Install to install the test server LoL according to the default path, but if you want to change the installation directory, select Advanced Options.

Step 8: Select the path, click OK > Install.

Step 9: Next, log in to your PBE account you just created, wait for the game to finish installing.

Step 10: Scroll down on this message and select Accept.

Step 10: That’s it, you have completely installed the test version of League of Legends and DTCL.

Step 11: Pay attention to the version corner, if it is PBE then the version will definitely be higher than the current official server version.

Step 12: Now go into the game and “appraise” the new content.

DTCL Season 16: LEGEND & LEGENDS

Explore the massive Library of Memories and relive Runeterra’s rich history in DTCL Set 16 – Legends & Legends. Recruit a squad of old and new champions and unlock powerful champions in Truth Arena’s largest set ever.

Season 16 is expected to hit the PBE Test Server on Tuesday, November 18 (estimated late afternoon PT), before officially launching on December 2.

The information below is subject to change and will be updated with additional data when PBE becomes active.

New Mechanism: Champion unlock feature

Throughout the match, you’ll complete certain objectives, allowing you to unlock incredibly powerful new Champions for your squad.

Once a Champion is unlocked, they are added to the Champion Pool and you are guaranteed to receive a copy of that champion on your first Shop refresh.

There are a total of 40 potential Champions to unlock, with rewards for players who reach Top 4 with all of them.

Legends & Legends introduces the largest champion roster ever, up to 100 new Champions, including powerful unlockable 7-Cost Champions, along with all-new champions like Zaahen and Yunara.

There are also Combined Champions, such as Kobuko and Yuumi or Lucian and Senna, which offer the skill sets of two champions in a single unit.

New Beasts and Decorative Items

2 new Legendary Beasts (Darius God King, Ahri K/DA), new Prestige Blood Moon Chibi Miss Fortune, new Prestige Ultimate Cosmic Lux Chibi, along with Paris-themed Choncc and Pengu Beast variants and new Arenas.

Legends & Legends opens up DTCL’s largest and most diverse Champion roster to date, with 100 new Champions selected from every corner of Runeterra’s stories.

This time, you won’t just recruit Heroes, you’ll unlock them. Throughout gameplay, completing in-match Objectives will grant you access to powerful new units, including rare 7-cost Legends.

Once unlocked, a Champion will be added to the Champion Pool, and you are guaranteed to see that Champion on your first Shop Roll.

Along with unlockable Champions, Legends & Legends also introduces Combined Champions – unique units that combine the skill sets of two Champions into a single unit.

You’ll see pairings like Kobuko & Yuumi or Lucian & Senna, allowing you to explore gameplay that mixes skills in fun and unexpected ways. And of course, new faces like Zaahen and Yunara also join the squad to complete this giant Champion Set. General 7 gold

In Legends & Legends, the 7 Gold Champions are the gems of the season. These rare units are not only powerful but also give the feeling of being a legend that you have conquered yourself. You’ll unlock them by completing in-match Objectives.

Once 7 Gold Heroes are unlocked for you, they will be added to the Hero Pool and guaranteed to appear on your next Shop Refresh.

Each 7-Gold Champion brings a level of power and style that can completely change the flow of combat, making each unlock a memorable moment in your game.

New technology core

Set 16 brings over 140 new Tech Cores, pushing the total Core count to a whopping 350+ – the most ever. With countless combinations to explore, no two games will be the same. And yes, the Team-Up Augments are back, allowing you to build even crazier strategies with your favorite Champion pairings.

New spirit beast

Legends & Legends also offers fresh cosmetic items to discover. You can collect two new Legendary Beasts, Darius the God King and Ahri K/DA.

There is a new Prestige Chibi Miss Fortune Blood Moon and a new Prestige Ultimate Cosmic Lux Chibi, each Chibi has its own style and characteristics.

You’ll also find Paris-themed Choncc and Pengu versions, along with matching Arenas, that capture the city’s charm.

How to fix Failed to Connect error in League of Legends PBE

If you encounter a Failed to Connect error as shown below, click Cancel and use some IP “faking” software to fake the ip to another country like Thailand, for example, and log in again.

Re-entering the game, the ping may be a bit high, so try waiting 1 or 2 more days to see if the server fixes this connection situation.

Some frequently asked questions about the PBE LOL server

Why is the PBE LOL server Ping high?

Because the PBE server is located in North America. If you are not playing from the North American region, you may experience higher than normal ping. Depending on the area, the ping number will be high or average. If the ping situation is too high, it may affect the player’s experience.

Will the content in the PBE server change when it is posted to the official server?

The answer is yes, we will experience new content but maybe when it is posted to the official server. Riot Games will change those parameters again to match the comments and reviews of players when experiencing this new content on the test server.

Why does Matchmaking on PBE take longer than on other servers?

The number of players in the PBE server will be small compared to regional servers, so queuing to create a match will take longer. At the same time, players will also have to meet players with uneven levels.

Is cheating in LOL PBE tracked?

League of Legends developers will monitor any reported behavior in the PBE server. Any players who use cheats or behave inappropriately will receive the same penalties on the PBE as they would on the live servers.

And if you get banned on one server, you will also be banned on the other server. If players repeat their violations on the PBE server, they will be permanently banned from accessing the PBE server without any warning or opportunity to appeal.

You can report players for cheating through the client if you detect any cheating behavior. Or you can report after the match if you forget.

How much RP do players receive on the PBE LOL server?
