DTCL Gang squad, how to play TFT Gang season 14
The Gang has now returned to the TFT season 14 meta in a different form than before, but still has familiar faces like Twisted Fate, Braum and Shaco.
This clan works a bit differently as every time you reach the trait threshold, you will receive a Kingpin hat, which helps generals enhance the unique abilities of Gang generals’ skills. Therefore, the Gang will become more flexible, allowing players to choose who wears the Kingpin hat to increase the skill power of that champion. Even though there are few champions and can be combined flexibly, you will still need some of the suggestions below to use Gangs more effectively.
Characteristics of Gang generals
Receive the Kingpin hat, exclusively upgrade the Gang general’s skills, and the Gang generals will have their HP increased and their damage amplified.
- 3 Gang: +100 HP, +5% DA, 1 Kingpin helmet
- 5 Gang: +450 HP, +20% DA, 2 Kingpin helmets
- 7 Gang: +600 HP, +30% DA, upgraded Kingpin effect
Build the DTCL Gang squad season 14
Early game
The goal in the early stages of the game is to build a squad strong enough to maintain a stable amount of health and reserve money for the slow roll phase at level 6 later.
You should pick up Gang champions that appear early in the store like Twisted Fate, Darius and Shaco. It is possible to combine generals with strong clans at the beginning of the game such as Dr. Mundo (combined with Darius to activate 2 Gladiators) or other 1-gold generals can activate additional clans in the team.
The goal at the beginning of the game is still to activate 3 Gangs as soon as possible to take advantage of the initial effect and get the Kingpin hat. Additionally, you can combine other clans depending on what you see.

Regarding equipment management, the top priority is to pair the component equipment for Twisted Fate with the Rage Blade or Shojin Spear and other magic items such as Witch Hat, Nashor’s Fang, and Gemstone Gloves. Tank items can be temporarily thrown to Darius or Dr. Mundo to increase resistance in the early stages.
If you find that the start is not favorable for Twisted Fate, you can consider winning a losing streak to have priority in choosing items in the shopping round. However, if you have a winning streak, go to level 4 in round 2-1.
Mid-match
The goal at this stage is to reach level 6. If you are lucky, you can complete the squad with 5 Gang generals and can slow roll for low-cost generals. Mainly Twisted Fate and Darius to increase resistance and damage. But usually Miss Fortune will not appear early for you to activate 5 Gangs.
If you can’t find Miss Fortune and Braum, your ideal lineup would be: Twisted Fate, Darius, Skarner, Dr. Mundo, Kog’Maw and Shaco. This formation will activate 3 Gangs, 2 Fighters, 2 Explosive Robots, 2 Strikers and 2 Butchers and so many clans will be activated.
Just focus on finding Twisted Fate and Darius, and continue this process until both champions reach 3 stars. Then continue to level 7 and find Miss Fortune and Braum and click on 5 Gangs.
End game
After successfully upgrading Twisted Fate and Darius to 3 stars, the next goal is to level up and add powerful support units and complete the 5-Gang squad.
Add Braum and Miss Fortune to the squad. This addition will complete the milestone of 5 Gangs, and also activate 2 more Vanguards (Braum) and 2 Strategists (Miss Fortune).
You can add Aurora to your squad to swap positions with another champion you place in the queue. If you see that your team is lacking something, put a 5-gold champion there. Note that you cannot place Aurora because the Aurora on the floor will not swap with the Aurora in the queue.
Suggestion for you as a tank general because the Gang’s tank will eventually run out, you can add Zac to swap and increase your health. At the same time, it deals quite good damage, so this is a card you should consider
Arrange the squad
Regarding squad arrangement, Twisted Fate should be placed in a safe position in the back row to maximize survival time and ability to deal continuous damage. Darius and Braum will of course “stand at the forefront” first to withstand damage from the opponent. Miss Fortune can be placed in the middle or back row to deal large area damage. The specific positions of champions may need to be adjusted depending on the opponent’s formation and the progress of the match.
Equip Gang generals
- Twisted Fate: Prioritize Rage Blade, x2 Rage Blade It’s also okay to deal cards continuously and deal damage right from the start. Add Hextech Gun Sword or some other magic items to increase magic damage.
- Shaco: Get Blood Sword and Cloak of Darkness/Mercury to live longer, Infinity Sword and Blue Bow to increase damage and reduce armor.
- Miss Fortune: More Giant Slayer and Counter Strike Hammer Hit the tank, get more Blue Bow and Infinity Sword to reduce armor, magic resistance and increase critical rate and damage. Attached Love Shojin restore mana.
- Darius – Braum: Take Fire Cloak or Lightning Crossbow to deal damage over time and reduce enemy tanks’ magic resistance. Where else to clamp other options such as Blood Armor, Thorn Armor, Dragon Claw, Stone Armor Statue, Atonement Necklace, Guardian Oath that’s OK.
Easy to rotate cards and easy to combine with other clans, Gang Gang is a force that can dominate right from the beginning of the game even though there are only 5 generals and no 5-cost generals. But with damage-dealing skills and Kingpin hats, we don’t need to gather enough Gangs to see these champions appear in many different teams.
