Design and positioning: Differentiation in the popular segment

In the 2026 version, the CX-90 does not change much in overall design but focuses on updating equipment. One of the new features is the integration of the Amazon Alexa voice assistant on all versions, allowing users to control some functions in the car with voice commands.

The product portfolio is supplemented with the S Premium Sport variant, with black painted exterior details to create a difference in appearance. These changes are mainly for configuration improvement and do not change the general positioning of the car model in the segment.

Interior: Focus on materials and space layout

The CX-90’s cockpit features materials such as Nappa leather and dashboard fabric. The car offers business seat options for the second row, helping to optimize space for rear passengers. The infotainment system remains faithful to the 12.3-inch screen controlled via a physical knob, a design to limit distraction for the driver while operating the vehicle.

Engine and operation: Difference in transmission configuration

The 2026 Mazda CX-90 is equipped with a 3.3-liter turbocharged six-cylinder in-line engine. In the standard versions, this engine produces 280 horsepower, while the S series versions are refined to 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. This power helps the car accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 6.3 seconds.

The suspension system is set in a firm direction, resulting in feedback from the road surface transmitted into the vehicle compartment more clearly when traveling on uneven surfaces. The car’s maximum towing capacity reaches 2,268 kg, equivalent to many three-row SUV models in the same segment.

This model uses mild hybrid technology, contributing to improved fuel consumption. Under stable operating conditions on the highway, the consumption level recorded is about 8.1 liters/100 km.

Technology and safety: Standard equipment, takes time to get used to

All 2026 CX-90 versions are equipped with the i-Activsense safety package, which includes features such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning and adaptive cruise control.

Driving assistance systems are integrated towards standardization, however some features and operating methods may take time for users to get used to during actual use.

Selling price and overall review

Mazda CX-90 2026 has prices ranging from 40,330 USD to 58,900 USD (1.06 – 1.54 billion VND), depending on equipment. Although there are still some limitations in terms of smoothness and transmission experience, the CX-90 is still a different choice in the three-row SUV segment.

The use of a 6-cylinder in-line engine and improved interior space helps this car model create its own identity, targeting a group of customers who value driving experience rather than pure practicality.
