Top 10 most anticipated Vietnamese games participating in GameHub 2026

These are the Top 10 Vietnamese game titles that are most interested in by the gaming community and experts, based on the level of completion, creative ideas and commercial potential.

Vietnam GameHub 2026 – the program to find and incubate potential Vietnamese game projects – has officially entered the important evaluation round with 41 excellent projects selected from more than 60 registration dossiers. This year, the organizers highly appreciate the “Do Local – Go Global” trend: projects that not only strongly exploit Vietnamese cultural identity, history, and mythology but also possess modern gameplay, easily accessible to the international market.

1. Hao Khi Dong A (GihOt Joint Stock Company)

The MMORPG project is set in the mighty Tran Dynasty, recreating the heroic atmosphere of “Southern Kingdom” through impressive 3D graphics. The game focuses on a large-scale war system, fierce guild PvP and a cleverly integrated historical story. With the experience of the GihOt team, Hao Khi Dong A is expected to become a strong “rookie” in the pure Vietnamese MMO game series.

2. Lac Than Chien Ca (GOSU Online Joint Stock Company)

3D MMORPG inspired by the Van Lang – Au Lac period. Players will live in the world of Vietnamese mythology with legendary characters such as Lac Long Quan, Au Co, Thanh Giong or Son Tinh – Thuy Tinh. The game stands out with a rich storyline, Asian-style graphics and a combat system that combines tactical elements. The project reached the Top 20 and received a lot of positive feedback from the community.

3. Slaying Demons and Destroying Demons: Chaos in the Demonic World (Hoa Lang Joint Stock Company)

Third-person action game, deeply exploiting Vietnamese mythology and folk elements. Players transform into demon-slaying warriors in a chaotic world. Smooth combat, combining roguelike elements and a rich weapon upgrade system makes this game strongly attract fans of the Action genre.

4. Son Thuy Truyen Ky – Linh An Than Son (Model)

One of the indie projects that stands out in the genre Metroidvania 2D. The game is inspired by the legend of Son Tinh – Thuy Tinh, offering flexible open-world exploration gameplay, beautiful pixel/hand-drawn graphics and responsive combat mechanics. This is a bright candidate for the “Best Indie Game” award at GameVerse 2026.

Tower defense game combined with Idle – an extremely hot genre on mobile. Post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting with accessible gameplay but strategic depth. Utopia is suitable for busy gamers, both “addicted” and easy to bring in stable revenue.

7. Van Thang Nam De (GAMZ)

MMO Strategy is inspired by Vietnamese history of the 10th century (Dinh – Early Le Dynasty). Players build dynasties, manage resources, conquer territories, and participate in major battles. The game is aimed at the taste of in-depth strategy players and Vietnamese gamers who love historical elements.

8. August Star (CDIT Institute of Information and Communications Technology)

Project Survival Horror The first perspective recreates the 1945 famine – a bold and artistic direction. The game not only has horror elements but also conveys a profound historical message. This is a testament to the diversity in how studios exploit Vietnamese materials.

9. Seal of Exorcism – Phu An Exorcism (Ha Quang Lap & team)

Roguelike action top-down oriental dark fantasy style. Fast slashing gameplay, combining elements of exorcism and skill upgrading. This game has great potential for fans of the booming roguelike genre on Steam and mobile.

10. VNRacing (Click Studio – Duy Tan University)

Arcade racing game inspired by famous roads and landmarks in Vietnam (Hanoi, Saigon, Da Lat, Hai Van pass…). The project combines familiar local elements with modern racing gameplay, competitive multiplayer – very easy to go viral and attract a large number of players.

Top projects will pitch directly to investors and the expert council on May 8, 2026 at SECC (HCMC). The 5 best projects will receive a media support package worth 100 million VND + 50 million VND in cash. Vietnam GameHub 2026 is not only a competition but also an important stepping stone to help Vietnamese games “Do Local – Go Global”. Many experts believe that with the current development momentum, 2026-2027 will be a boom period for Vietnamese games in both domestic and international markets.
