Consider the strategy in the game
Before recruiting Pokémon or building a team, you should consult the meta data available in the game.
From the menu Battlescroll down to the section Battle Datathen select your ratings data Season M-2.
At section Pokémonyou can choose to view statistics of single or double match mode. The system will display the most used Pokémon, along with the move sets, items, Nature and stat distribution of each Pokémon.
This is a very useful reference source to help players understand the current meta and find ideas to build a team that suits their playing style.
Pokémon training
When building a squad, make sure the Pokémon are trained with Nature and indicators appropriate to their roles.
Nature will increase one stat and decrease another of the Pokémon’s stat. Most Pokémon only focus on one main form of damage, physical attack or special attack, so it is recommended to reduce the least used stat to optimize combat effectiveness.
These adjustments can make a big difference in battle, helping Pokémon deal more damage or reach higher speeds to get the right to strike first.
Instead of the traditional EV and IV system, Pokémon Champions uses a simpler mechanism when providing 66 index points Let players allocate themselves to each Pokémon.
A popular option is Invest up to 32 points in the two most important indices. For example, Charizard is often built around high-speed special attacks, so players often invest 32 points in Special Attack, 32 points in Speed and 2 points in Defense.
Don’t forget to take advantage of Training Tickets to save VP during training.

Pokémon Champions can be quite difficult for newcomers to get used to, but learning the popular team types in VGC will help you progress faster.
If you are not familiar with advanced strategies, you can start with a balanced squad of six strong Pokémon of many different types to deal with many situations.
Another popular tactic is Trick Room. When this move is activated, Pokémon with the lowest speed will be given priority to act first for the next five turns. This is the foundation of many strong and interesting lineups in Pokémon Champions.
