Interesting hidden details in 007 First Light

IO Interactive has packed into 007 First Light many hidden details and interesting things that most Bond or Hitman fans probably wouldn’t expect.

Throughout the missions in 007 First Light, you’ll find details reminiscent of classic Bond films, Ian Fleming’s novels, real-life espionage history, and plenty of subtle nods to Hitman World of Assassination. Below is nThe most interesting hidden details in 007 First Light.

Nightclub cameo by JackSepticEye

This character appears in the mission “A Night Out” inside a London nightclub. The staff working there are voiced and modeled after Jacksepticeye, who is better known as Seán McLoughlin. It’s a small cameo, but hard to miss once you recognize that voice.

Many details related to Hitman

Eagle-eyed Hitman fans will spot plenty of details regarding their favorite bald assassin throughout the game.

First, a bartender asks Bond if he can make a “bare-knuckle boxer,” which Hitman fans know is the fictional drink that Sanguine owner Viktor Novikov loves. The second is a magazine containing an image of Joseph Clarence, the target in Hitman: Blood Money, along with a rubber duck described as ‘dressed for success’.

This scene is unlocked in the “007 First Light” ending after Bond officially attains the title of 00. The game reveals the classic opening sequence early on with the moving white dot, but retains the full gun barrel scene until the ending. It was both a worthy reward and the moment Bond truly “became 007”.

Soundtrack for the movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”

Plays during the large truck chase scene in the mission “Time To Die”. The legendary tune from the movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” returns in one of the game’s biggest action sequences. Longtime Bond fans will probably recognize that music immediately.

The Legacy Collectibles collection is reminiscent of old Bond films

007 First Light There are many collectibles in the form of notes, important items, and other special small objects. There is also a unique type of collectible item called ‘Legacy’ items, each reminiscent of a different Bond adventure from the films.

Some of these Legacy items include Rosa Klebb’s dagger shoes from From Russia With Love, a pamphlet reminiscent of the violin concert in The Living Daylights, and a Blades Club badge, reminiscent of both the novel and Die Another Day.

Guest role of Khaby Lame in the Vietnam mission

Appears briefly during the mission in Vietnam, near Hang Ken. Khaby Lame quietly pointed Bond in the right direction with his characteristic cold expression. This is one of the strangest cameos in the entire game.

The scar on Bond’s face is on the cover of the book

This scar is visible on the Bond character model throughout the advertising campaign. It is taken directly from Ian Fleming’s original Bond novels, where the scar is depicted as a line running across Bond’s cheek. Surprisingly, most Bond film versions do not have this scar.

Villainous Jaguar Type 00

The cars in the movie 007 First Light, are used by many enemies in the story segments. Jaguar cars are often associated with Bond villains in films, unlike the Aston Martin, the car that Bond often drives himself.
