Overview of the game Dragon Traveler

Similar to Seven Knights Re:BIRTH, Dragon Traveler also starts with a visually stunning tutorial, filled with humor, where you’ll learn the basics. And as you progress, you’ll start to unlock more Luminaries, and then arrange them into formations.

During battle, you can drag the Main Characters’ avatars (Luminary) to designated areas to activate their Ultimate move (Overdrive). You can also cancel the move depending on the situation and save Overdrive points. And along with the Luminaries, your main character also joins the battle and attacks continuously.

The characters in Dragon Traveler also have different roles. You need to arrange them accordingly. For example, Assassins prioritize attacking enemy Luminaries in the same lane, and can move stealthily past Luminaries other than Guardians. In short, the boss battles in Dragon Traveler are really fun with nice skill effects.

Basic gameplay of Dragon Traveler

Luminary

You can view all the characters in the Luminary section, and can also perform star upgrades to increase their attributes and talent levels. When characters reach a certain star level, they will unlock new talent effects. And, if you can reach Level 100, Class Resonance will be unlocked.

You can also own multiple Luminaries of the same name, and although star levels are independent, characters still share levels, equipment, and other progression systems. In addition, Luminaries ranked R or higher belong to two factions, the second faction will be unlocked when they reach 6 stars.

You can also perform Divine Awakening on Luminary SSRs or higher to increase its power. And be sure to equip them with the right gear, including Helmets, Bracelets, Armor, Weapons, Accessories, and Shoes. And don’t forget to check Luminary Codes and activate them to receive Diamonds.

Main character – Dragon

Here, the main character you choose at the beginning also participates in the battle, and thanks to activating the Dragon form, you can also switch forms during the battle. You need to activate the corresponding Dragon Soul to be able to increase your strength, intelligence, agility, and more through the activation of Artifact and more.

Your dragon is called Wyrm. You can nurture them to increase their stats, talent effects, unlock Dragon Nests, and even skill slots. You can unlock Juvenile Dragons with Dragon Souls, and when they reach max stars, they will evolve into Juvenile Dragons, which continue to evolve into Adult Dragons.

Recall

In the summoning section, you will find Luminary Summo, which is a permanent summoning banner, and Limited Summon, where you can try your luck to summon the current featured Luminary.

Play mode

Initially, you can only access Adventure mode, where you earn Diamonds, random Luminary SR, Wyrm Essence, and more. But when you complete the Main Story levels, you will unlock more modes such as Champin Expedition, Heart Trial, Mythos Conquest, Training Camp and more.

Emporium

The store in this game is called Emporium, and is divided into Monthly Card, Summon, Gift Pack. Here, you can buy a monthly or lifetime pass to receive Diamonds and Fated Summoning tickets, or buy additional tickets and Premium Dragon EXP, etc.

Tips for playing Dragon Traveler for beginners

Don’t skip the introductory tutorial

The game starts with tutorial-like gameplay at the beginning, teaching you the core gameplay, how to perform Overdrives, place Luminaries, and enjoy the story at the same time. Therefore, you should not ignore them.

Use Smart Overdrive

During battles, it is very important to know when to use Luminary’s Overdrive and how to save Overdrive points wisely. So try to use them wisely and mainly use Luminary SR or SSR’s Overdrive more as they tend to deal more damage. Also, pay attention to the situation to cancel them accordingly.

Build a solid squad and position Luminary properly

Here, Luminary has different roles such as Guardian and Assassin, you need to make the most of their roles to dominate battles. For example, you can place your Guardian in the lane adjacent to the enemy Luminary’s Assassin to block them from attacking the backline.

Don’t ignore the main character and corresponding Dragon form

The main character you choose also fights alongside the Guardians, allowing you to switch between Dragon forms during battle. By upgrading them appropriately, you can add more power to your squad to achieve better results. Furthermore, each Dragon comes with different enhanced moves.

Focus on upgrading Luminary

While it’s good to unlock more Luminaries, you should focus on upgrading them to maximum level first. When you perform a breakthrough, you can unlock different skills for the Luminary, while also increasing their overall power. This is especially important when you reach more difficult levels.
