VioSkills contest rules – Life Skills Journey 2026-2027 school year
Participants:
- All primary school students in the area can participate in the playground on a completely voluntary and free basis.
- Regulations on contest accounts:
- Each student can only use 01 unique account created and validly recorded on the VioEdu system to participate throughout the competition rounds.
- For students who do not have an account: The Organizing Committee will create and issue accounts simultaneously based on the official registration list compiled and sent by the School.
Knowledge content:
- Covers core life skills areas for students, consistent with age-group physiological characteristics and requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.
- The questions are built in an integrated way, based on the knowledge content of the subjects and educational activities associated with life skills: Experiential activities; Physical education; Morality; Nature and Society; Science; Informatics and Technology; Arts (Music, Fine Arts).
- The questions of each topic are built on the basis of the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program; At the same time, exploit practical situations, problems of student life and the requirements of modern society appropriate to their age to evaluate the ability to apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes to study and life.
- For grades 1 and 2, questions prioritize familiar situations in family, school and community, consistent with students’ life and experiences.
- Exam structure: Each round includes 20 questions.
- Exam time: 20 minutes/round (the system automatically closes when the specified time expires).
General regulations on exam registration and opening rounds:
- Students belonging to any grade level are only allowed to participate in the round for that grade level.
- Time to open the preliminary round: Each preliminary round on the system will be open for 01 week (from 00:00 Monday to 23:59 Sunday). Candidates can actively participate at any time during the above time frame, but can only take the test once per round.
- Rules for closing/locking rounds: When the system opens the next round, the previous round will automatically lock. Candidates cannot make up missed rounds but still have the right to continue participating in the next rounds.

- The system applies the cumulative principle: Each correct answer counts 1 point. Points will not be deducted for incorrect or skipped answers.
Ranking criteria:
The system automatically sets up candidate rankings in order of priority for the following indicators:
- Priority 1: Candidates with a higher total score are ranked higher.
- Priority 2 (In case of duplicate scores): The candidate with the shorter total time to complete the test is ranked higher.
- Priority 3 (In case of overlapping points and time): Candidates with fewer incorrect answers are ranked higher.
Detailed information about the Life Skills Journey Playground competition rounds
Preliminary Round:
- Contest conditions: Students have a valid account in active status on the VioEdu system.
- Organization form: Free online exam; Candidates proactively choose the exam location and equipment.
- Scale: Including 08 rounds, contestants participate in a maximum of 01 round/round.
- Recording results: The system automatically updates and saves results immediately after candidates complete the test.
School level competition round:
- Contest conditions: Candidates whose total accumulated points after 08 preliminary rounds reach 80 points or more.
- Form of organization: Online exam concentrated at school or location arranged and managed by the school.
- Scale: Includes 01 round of competition, candidates take 01 test only.
- Results: The organizers announced the official rankings for each grade level and exam subject of each school.
Commune/Ward level competition round:
- Contest conditions: Candidates achieve a minimum of 10 points at the School level exam round.
- Form of organization: Centralized online exam at a location organized by the Ward/Commune People’s Committee or the School.
- Scale: Includes 01 round of competition, candidates take 01 test only.
- Results: The Organizing Committee announced public rankings for each grade level and exam subject on an entire Commune/Ward scale.
Provincial/City level competition round:
- Contest conditions: Candidates achieve a minimum of 10 points in the Commune/Ward level exam round, and are also in the Top 50% of candidates with the highest ranking in the Commune/Ward. In case of the same score in the last position, all candidates with the same score have the right to compete.
- Organizational form: Centralized online exam at a location organized by the Department of Education and Training or the School.
- Scale: Includes 01 round of competition, candidates take 01 test only.
- Results: The Organizing Committee announced the ranking list of the entire Province/City and issued a decision to recognize awards for winning candidates according to the prescribed structure.
Expanded events: 3-region Final Round and National Final Round:
- After completing the Provincial/City level round, the Organizing Committee will organize the 3 Region Final Round and the National Final Round.
- Expected time: Between June 2027 and July 2027.
- Organizational form: Online exam concentrated at official exam councils selected and directed by the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee will issue separate detailed instructions for this round.
