In Bridger Western, the fastest way to move around the map is not on foot but on horseback. Even though everyone gets a mule at the start of the game, you can always upgrade it to better horses. Here it is What you need to know about horses in Bridger Western.
How to summon horses in Bridger Western
Stand in any open area and press the key H on the computer to summon a horse. Immediately, your character will whistle, and a mule appears in front of him. Get close to it and press the key N to climb onto the animal’s back.
After climbing on the mule’s back, you can use the navigation buttons to move it. Alternatively, you can use button Shift to increase the mule’s speed. Remember, the horse’s speed will stay the same until it has enough endurance (blue bar). Otherwise, you have to stop or walk to recover your stamina.
How to buy horses in Bridger Western
Players can buy horses from NPCs inside the Horse Stable. Bridger Western has 2 stables. The first stable is located across from the train station in Main Town, and you can find the other stable at Outlaw Camp. Enter both of these buildings to find the Horse Stable NPC.
Interact with the character, he will randomly show you the horses in his stable. There are no categories or lists to choose from here. Instead, he will describe a horse and tell the price. If you like the price and information he provides, you can buy it. If not, you can pay him 20 moola to see another horse. Any horse in Bridger Western costs between 150 and 1500 Moola depending on rarity and stats.
How to check horse stats in Bridger Western
You can always check your horse’s stats by pressing the key M in the lower left corner of the screen. Each horse will have Speed, Stamina, Jump, Damage, Turn, and Scale stats, each ranging from 0.85 to 1.25.
All horses have a random set of stats. Legendary Horses – Legendary and Mythical – Mythical horses have additional enhanced stats. More specifically, legendary horses are increased by 1 stat, and mythical horses are increased by 2 stats.
How to get the best horse in Bridger Western
When it comes to the best horses, the general rule is to choose one that costs at least 800 Moola or more.
Each time you talk to the Horse Stable NPC, the price will be randomized. To distinguish between regular horses and Legendary/Mythical horses, their names will be written in capital letters.
Although rare, if the price of horses is low they are not very strong. For example, a cheap Legendary horse will have weak base stats. Basically, the more expensive the horse, the better.
