If you want to play Hytale with friends, the setup process is quite fast and flexible. The game allows you to invite others into your world for short play sessions, or set up a server that runs continuously even when logged out.

How to play Hytale online with friends

When you create a new world in Hytale, by default you are the only one in it. To let others join, follow these steps:

• Press the key Escape to open the main menu.
• Select Online Play.
• Turn on the option Allow other players to join.
• Press Save to save settings.
• An invitation code will appear. Copy this code and send it to your friends who want to join your world.

You can also set a password for the invitation code. When this option is enabled, press Save again to regenerate a new code and password.

Note: The Hytale invitation code contains your IP address, so it should only be shared with people you trust.

How to join the world of friends

If you have an invitation code from someone else, follow these steps:

• At the main menu, select Servers.
• Select Join via code.
