How to manage and earn gold
First of all, we need to understand how Eco TFT works and what you can do to improve it. Gold is the core of the financial system. Each round passes; You will receive 5 gold, starting from round 5. Previously, you received 2/2/3/4 gold in the early rounds.
Sell one unit. Get back the unit value in gold according to some rules:
- If it’s a 1 gold unit, you always get a full refund. Otherwise, it will incur a 1 gold penalty if it has been upgraded. (For example, a 2-star unit that costs 4 gold will sell for (4×3)-1= 11 gold.)
Interest rate: You will receive 1 additional gold for every 10 gold you hold, up to a maximum of 5 gold.
Win/loss streak: After each match that maintains a win/loss streak, you will receive additional:
- 1 gold for 2-3 wins/losses
- 2 gold for 4 wins/losses
- 3 gold for 5 wins/losses or more
Arrange the squad in Truth Arena
You need champions of a specific level or cost to build the strongest squad possible. With that information, you can understand the four main ways to organize your squad: Hyperroll, Fast X, Normal and Slow Roll.
Hyperroll
Usually used at level 4 to upgrade a 1-cost champion to 3 stars. Focus on maximizing your chances of upgrading champions through rerolls. Don’t use gold until you’re one round away from the next level, then use all the gold to upgrade your chosen champion to 3 stars. On the Galaxies map, we’ve seen this a lot with Blademasters squads using Xayah. On the next map, you will most likely see something similar to the Moonlight trait.
Fast 8/9
This is often used by teams with an early advantage that need to switch and change champions to something else. You get on a winning (or losing) streak and keep buying XP so you can get to the 4/5 gold champion before anyone else. There’s even a level 9 Quick Hyperroll strategy, where you just build your economy above 50 gold, level as fast as possible, and then upgrade all 5-gold champions to 2 stars.
Slow roll
A less impulsive style of Hyperroll, where you use all your gold to roll to upgrade a specific champion to maximum level. The level of slow roll varies depending on the champion (or champions) you want to upgrade. (For example: Slow roll at level 5 for a 2-cost champion, or at level 7 for a 3-cost champion)
Normal
This is the basic way to play, the most popular way to play if you are just starting out. Build strong squads, place them on the map, and aim to reach level 8 by round 5-1. If you manage to maintain a good economy and pick some strong champions. Usually, this way of playing is used when you only need a 3-star champion or some upgrades throughout the levels.
