At the same time, both front and rear wheel axles have been widened to both sides, making room for an upgraded brake cooling system with a larger size to enhance the performance of the Civic Type R when running on the track. The extremely prominent red painted brake shackles come from Brembo, while the car’s wheels are painted in sporty matte black.

One interesting thing is that even though all the pcs Honda Civic Type R are manufactured at the factory in Yorii – Saitama province – Japan before being shipped worldwide; But the engine block code K20C1 is produced at the company’s factory in Ohio, USA.

Civic Type R 2023 is still equipped with the same turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as the previous version. However, the exhaust gas line has been optimized by Japanese engineers so that the capacity of front-wheel drive racing cars can reach 315 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 421 Nm of maximum torque – achieved in the range of 2,600 – 4,000 rpm.

Not only that, Honda also loosened the rpm range to open the active exhaust valve (or automatic on/off exhaust), helping the K20C1 machine create a more lively and exciting “sound symphony”. The 6-speed manual transmission equipped with the car has also been adjusted to be able to “balance” the greater power from the engine block, helping the car to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and create an acceleration force of up to 1.02 g.

The flywheel is designed to be lighter in weight to enable smooth rev-match operation. The radiator system has also been increased in size. The front-wheel-drive racing car model has also been improved by Honda with a double-wishbone front suspension system, changing the steering angle to bring a sharper steering wheel experience than ever.

In exchange for sharp handling, “extremely sticky” traction and wind-like acceleration; Users will have to live with a large amount of noise reverberating from the road surface into the cabin, a small fuel tank and an interior with only two colors: black and red – no other options.

Inside the car, Honda Civic Type R 2023 The interior compartment has been designed to be more simplified than the previous generation. The entire cabin is covered in the main black color of leather and suede, accented with extremely prominent red embroidery details and very sporty carbon cladding positions.
