The hybrid powertrain operates smoothly, the transition between the gasoline engine and electric motor is almost unnoticeable in street driving conditions. The car accelerates quickly enough for daily needs, but does not have the same acceleration or instant response as many German SUVs in the same price range.

The easy-to-notch point is that the TX has a rather large shape and the feeling of a heavy body is quite evident when cornering quickly. The suspension system prioritizes smoothness, so the vehicle body tilts relatively much when changing direction quickly. However, in everyday travel conditions, especially on highways or long journeys, this SUV feels very relaxing.

The TX 550h+ version with adaptive suspension provides significantly better performance than the standard TX 350. The car absorbs softer road surfaces and maintains better stability at high speeds.

The driving assistance systems in the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 package operate stably but sometimes react a bit too cautiously. The 360-degree camera is especially useful because the TX is a fairly large car when maneuvering in urban areas.

Space is the biggest strength

The point that makes Lexus TX most clearly different from many competitors lies in the cabin space. This is one of the few 3-row luxury SUVs today that can serve large families without making the last row of seats become “fireproof seats”.

Legroom and headroom in all three rows of seats are good. Getting in and out of the third row is also easier.

In practical experience, TX feels suitable for families who often go away. The seats are wide, the air conditioning system cools quickly and the noise level in the cabin is well controlled. Especially in electric mode of the TX 550h+ version, the cockpit is almost very quiet.

Installing a child seat on this SUV is very convenient thanks to clearly positioned and easily accessible LATCH attachment points in the window seat positions. Modern technology but not perfect

The technological highlight inside the cabin is the 14-inch central touch screen for sharp display, intuitive graphics and quick response to touch gestures. However, the layout of the function menus on this screen still needs to be refined to make it easier for the driver to find while operating the vehicle.

The car’s voice command feature works fine, but the response time from receiving the command to executing it is quite slow. The Mark Levinson sound system on the car also does not make a clear difference as expected on high-end Lexus models.

The biggest regret lies in the quality of the interior. This is probably the part that makes it difficult for the TX to feel “expensive” as expected of a Lexus model.

Even though it is positioned in the luxury SUV segment, the TX cabin still has a lot of dark plastic surfaces and a finishing style that is more practical than luxurious. The Lexus TX 2026 is a pure, practical family SUV and has the best three-row seating space in the current segment. This car model fully fulfills the role of a smooth, quiet means of transportation for crowded trips.

However, if you expect a Lexus with a distinct sense of luxury or outstanding design personality, the TX is not really convincing. The interior is not different enough from the Toyota Grand Highlander, the driving feeling is more about safety than emotion.
