All monsters in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2
Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 introduces players to many new monsters, and also has the return of some familiar toys. From Mommy Long Legs to The Prototype, this chapter 2 has a much larger number of monsters than the first part.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 casts Mommy Long Legs as the main villain, but she’s not the only monster players will encounter. Huggy Wuggy also returns, but this time you can slap him with your Grab Pack hands instead of running away. While some monsters like Kissy Missy will face you directly, others can currently only be seen in blueprints, possibly hinting at monsters that will appear in future installments. Below is a list of monsters appearing in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2.
All monsters in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2
Mommy Long Legs
In chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime, Mommy Long Legs forces the main character to play games at the Playtime Co. amusement park. in exchange for the codes needed to operate the train and leave the factory. Although Poppy Playtime 2’s ending saw the demise of Mommy Long Legs, players still have the opportunity to encounter her again in the future.
Huggy Wuggy
In Chapter 2, one of the games that Mommy Long Legs makes you participate in is Whack-A-Wuggy. Similar to Whack-A-Mole, the player must use the Grab Pack’s hand to hit Huggy Wuggy when it emerges from the tunnel to push it back. If the player is not fast enough to repel Huggy Wuggy, the player will receive an ending screen.
Kissy Missy
Kissy Missy, also known as Stella Greyber, is perhaps the most unique monster in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2. This is because she helps the player continue their journey through the Playtime Co. factory. Kissy Missy has a similar appearance to Huggy Wuggy, except with pink fur instead of blue, but their personalities seem to be opposites.
Kissy Missy will use the lever to open the way for the player, then leave before the player can interact with her. Unlike the other toy monsters in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, Kissy Missy appears to be more of a friend than an enemy – at least for now.
PJ Pug-A-Pillar
Statue is another game that Mommy Long Legs makes you play, and it involves being chased by PJ Pug-A-Pillar, a long, dog-like caterpillar. While the player can only move when the lights are off, PJ Pug-A-Pillar will move throughout the entire game without stopping when the lights are on. Overall, PJ Pug-A-Pillar is one of the least scary villains in part 2.
Bunzo Bunny
Bunzo Bunny appears in the game Musical Memory. Bunzo Bunny floats above you, lowering as the game progresses and rising again when the player successfully completes a round. If you fail, the game ends with Bunzo Bunny lowering down and killing you with his cymbal.
Bron
Bron is a toy dinosaur who reappears in Poppy Playtime 2 in its original form instead of fragments scattered on the floor or paintings on the wall. In one segment, you need to get Bron out of the elevator to be able to use it because Bron is too heavy. Oddly, this allows the player to see that Bron has no eyes. So far, Bron remains immobile, but that could change in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3.
The Prototype
The Prototype appears at the end of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 after the player defeats Mommy Long Legs in a haunting ending. He came and pulled away the upper body that fell from Mommy Long Legs’ crusher. Although it is unclear why he wants Mommy Long Legs’ body, players can speculate that it is a sinister plot.
New monsters
Similar to how Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 revealed Kissy Missy, Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 revealed more monsters and toys such as: Bunzo Bunny, Mini Huggies, Barrel o’ Huggys, Kick-me-Paul, Sir Poops-A-Lot, Owen the Oven, Surprise Hare, Love Dog, Sunni Buddi, Pet Stone, Love Bugas well as many new characters briefly appearing in VHS tapes, cardboard dummies, and documents.
