Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties releases new gameplay mechanics trailer – Game News
SEGA together RGG Studio just released a new gameplay trailer about 6 minutes long for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties on the official YouTube channel. The video serves as an in-depth presentation (Direct), providing a more detailed look at the gameplay, story and all-new modes in this “two-in-one” release package, ahead of the official launch on February 12, 2026.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is a bundle that includes two separate games. Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a comprehensive remake of Yakuza 3focuses on the journey of Kazuma Kiryu – a legendary former yakuza – in his efforts to protect his loved ones. Meanwhile, Dark Ties is a completely new game, taking on Yoshitaka Mine – the central villain of the game Yakuza 3 – as the main character, expanding the depth of the world and side stories of the game series.
LIVE Yakuza Kiwami 3the trailer shows Kiryu’s seemingly peaceful life at the Morning Glory orphanage in Okinawa. This tropical paradise setting is quickly disrupted when outside forces seek to force Kiryu and the children to leave the place they call home. Faced with that situation, Kiryu was forced to return to the path of conflict to protect his newly found peace. The big highlight of the fighting mechanism is Ryukyu Style – a new fighting style inspired by Okinawan martial arts, combined with the familiar Dragon of Dojima fighting system that has also been upgraded.
Another notable addition is a brand new mode called Bad Boy Dragon. In this mode, Kiryu not only fights alone but also acts as a leader, assembling and training a group of thugs to protect the streets of Okinawa. Players will team up with the Haisai Girls gang, leading them from a small group to become the strongest girl gang in Japan.
In Bad Boy Dragon, Kiryu will have to participate in large-scale fights called Baddies Battles. In these matches, players will be able to customize equipment and weapons for up to 20 members, as well as use motorcycles in tactical attacks.
Besides, Yakuza Kiwami 3 also introduces many new minigames, with some arcade games taken from the company’s classic SEGA Game Gear system.
Meanwhile, Dark Ties shifting focus to Yoshitaka Mine. The plot revolves around Mine assisting his superior Tsuyoshi Kanda in strengthening his reputation and status in the underworld. The Kanda Damage Control game requires players to resolve local disputes, side quests, and sensitive situations, thereby directly affecting Kanda’s reputation.
Another completely new content introduced is Hell’s Arena – an underground arena Dark Ties. Here, Mine must combine both intelligence and strength to overcome dangerous battles to destroy an organization that threatens the activities of the Nishikiyama gang. Players will be able to participate in Hellish Brawls – fierce duels, and Survival Hell – a mode that combines dungeon exploration and constant pursuit by predators in trap-filled environments and treasure hunting.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will officially release on February 12, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
