Why has this game become so hot?
Genshin Impact – A game considered a masterpiece Mobile RPG from Mihoyo was released late last year with the name Genshin Impact.
In addition to this game bringing new gameplay to mobile, it has also become a benchmark for evaluating new performance for smartphones at the present time. So what makes this game stand out and how close is it to the configuration? We invite you to join us in finding out in this article!
#1. Introducing the game Genshin Impact?
Genshin Impact is a game developed by miHoYo, a newly released open world action-adventure role-playing game. Genshin Impact is an IP developed by miHoYo following the previous IP, the Honkai Gakuen series.
Genshin Impact game was officially launched on September 28, 2020, supports multi-platform (eg Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5…)
— according to Wikipedia
Thus, this is the same Mihoyo game as Honkai Impact 3rda game that also requires quite a lot of configuration, but its younger brother (Genshin Impact) consumes even more configuration.
Genshin Impact’s gameplay is similar to RPG games on Console, a difference in the forest of FPS or moba games that are so familiar to mobile players.
Besides the gameplay, the game also has a very Wibu cast of characters, quite impressive sound and some familiar things from Honkai Impact 3rd. Most notably, the ability to play Cross Platform games from PC, Android, iOS and even Console.
Genshin Impact is said to imitate quite a lot from Zelda, a game that is also an open world RPG on Console and PC.
But then it doesn’t matter much when players have many reasons to choose Genshin Impact over Zelda: play because it’s Wibu, play because there’s no PC, play because it’s cross-platform, and for a variety of other reasons. there..
#2. Configuration challenge
The recommended configuration of this game on mobile is Snapdragon 845 and 4GB Ram or higher for Android Phone, iPhone 8 Plus or higher for Apple and Kirin 810 chip or higher for devices from Huawei.
On a PC, the recommended configuration of the device is Windows 7 or higher, Windows 64bit platform, 16GB Ram, Intel Core i7 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB graphics card or higher, minimum hard drive space of 30GB
On Cosole, it was released first for the Sony Play Station PS4 system, of course supported on the latest PS5 system as well.
Because PCs can change their configuration, we don’t need to be too careful when choosing a computer to play, we just need to choose the best components possible. Consoles or smartphones do not, you have to buy a computer with the same configuration. At least the above is enough to fight.
The game was released quite early on PS4, however, the gameplay still lags crazily on PS4 Pro, with the main reason probably being that the HDD used on this model is too outdated.
And our main topic, Genshin Impact on mobile: this game really classifies the device very clearly when it requires a chip with a really powerful GPU and good heat dissipation.

This game currently does not support high-frequency screens, so like most other games, the game’s fps will only be a maximum of 60.
The test below will select the highest graphics configuration and the fps option is 60 for you to compare. Below is the fps chart when playing games of ROG Phone 3 with 8GB Ram and Snapdragon 865 chip.
It can be seen that the stability of this machine with basic games is almost perfect.
As for Genshin Impact, it’s the opposite: FPS drops to even half in many moments, and throughout the entire gameplay process, the device is completely unable to maintain maximum fps.
The FPS chart shows this deep concern, even though the new game only supports 60fps compared to the device’s 144Hz screen.
What about the latest chip: Snapdragon 888? This is the FPS chart of Vivo iQOO 7 and Xiaomi Mi 11 – 2 devices that own the latest generation chip today.
Xiaomi Mi 11 has created questions about performance when the stability with the game Genshin Impact is lower than that of the Snapdragon 865 chip when other games still play very lightly, until the Vivo iQOO 7 was released.
It can be concluded that Snapdrahon 888 is not compatible with this game. The device heats up very quickly and the fps goes up and down quite miserably during gameplay.
But at least it is not stable, does not stutter or freeze for a few seconds like on the Snapdragon 845 that I am using.
The Apple A14 chip is no better, when in iOS 14.1 version, the iPhone 12 Serie appears to be overclocked, with very significant heat levels and very worrying stability. However, the situation has improved on iOS 14.2
The Kirin 9000 chip on Huawei gives better results: more stable and cooler than the Snapdragon 888 chip.
And recently Samsung’s rookie Exynos 2100, it is being highly appreciated for its stability, power consumption and temperature during short periods of gaming. Whether it will be stable for a long time or not, I still don’t know. clearly.
In short, this is truly a mobile game that is very suitable for playing on PC, a new measure of the graphics processing and heat dissipation capabilities of smartphones. Let’s find out in the next article the reason why there is also a heatsink 🙂
