Vietnam Game Festival

On January 29, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with VnExpress Newspaper, FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Game Alliance to organize a program to announce activities within the framework of Vietnam Game Festival – Vietnam GameVerse 2026.

Held annually for the first time in 2023, Vietnam GameVerse continuously expands in scale, content and influence, affirming its position as the leading event of the Vietnamese gaming industry. Bringing together publishers, production units, investors and the game-loving community, Vietnam GameVerse is not only a space to honor achievements and game experiences, but also a strategic bridge between the community, businesses, developers, and domestic and foreign investors.

Entering the fourth year of organization, Vietnam Game Festival – Vietnam GameVerse 2026 with the theme “Together reaching out to the ocean – Do local, go global”, clearly demonstrates the direction of sustainable development: taking Vietnam’s internal strength as the foundation, thereby connecting, integrating and reaching out to the international market. With this cross-cutting theme, Vietnam GameVerse 2026 aims to spread the story of the Vietnamese gaming industry: from content creation, product development, community building to exporting Vietnamese intelligence and brands to the world. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience new products, services, and technology; Connect and interact with experts, publishers, esports teams and leading units in the gaming industry.

The series of activities within this year’s Vietnam GameVerse will start in February and end in May 2026 with the Vietnam Game Festival event in Ho Chi Minh City. The program includes four main groups of activities:

Vietnam Game Awards – Vietnam Game Awards 2026

Honoring products, services, communities and individuals with outstanding achievements and contributions in the gaming ecosystem. The award takes place from January to May 2026 with three stages: Nomination round, Preliminary round and Final round.

This year, Vietnam Game Awards 2026 continues to be refined compared to the award system of previous seasons, expected to include 21 awards and divided into four main category groups: The Golden Galaxy (Category for games released in Vietnam), The Golden Sun (Category for Vietnamese games), The Golden Star (Category for e-Sports in Vietnam) and The Golden Gear (Category for related devices, products and services). to the gaming sector).

Vietnam Game Forum 2026

Continuing and developing the content discussed from the previous three seasons as well as updating new current issues, Vietnam Game Forum 2026 activities and Game Talks discussions continue to be a space for in-depth exchange. Here, management agencies, businesses, experts and the domestic and international game lover community discuss key topics of the current game industry.

The program is also a place to propose plans to develop the Vietnamese game industry such as: building a sustainable Vietnamese game ecosystem, strategies to bring Vietnamese games to the world, developing professional e-sports, training human resources and applying new technology in the game industry.

GameHub competition and cooperation and investment activities

Based on positive results from previous seasons, connection, cooperation and investment activities within the framework of Vietnam GameVerse 2026 continue to expand in both scale and depth. Many exchange and connection spaces are designed to help Vietnamese studios, developers and businesses approach international partners and investors, gradually realizing the goal of “go global”. Prominent in this group of activities is the GameHub Contest – a program to find and support potential Vietnamese game projects and products.

Officially entering its third season, the GameHub Competition aims to connect individuals, studios and businesses developing game projects with investors, publishers and strategic partners at home and abroad. The GameHub registration portal is expected to open from March 2026, with three rounds including: Preliminary – Evaluation – Final, including interesting presentation activities within the framework of Vietnam Game Festival.

During the two-day event, a series of B2B connection activities and seminars on game ecosystem development will focus on analyzing market trends, development – release models, capital raising strategies and expansion into the international market, providing in-depth perspectives and practical cooperation opportunities for participating units. In particular, Vietnam GameVerse 2026 is expected to continue to receive the attention and companionship of many large technology corporations in the world, contributing to creating more motivation to promote the sustainable development and integration of the Vietnamese gaming ecosystem.

Entertainment activities and electronic sports competitions

In addition to game exhibitions and products and services in the gaming industry, Cosplay Contest continues to be a highlight for the community, providing a creative playground for young people to transform into their favorite characters from comics, movies, video games and anime. Besides the competition, the program continues to promote parade and exchange activities, meet famous domestic and international cosplayers, and perform music, contributing to creating a vibrant and colorful atmosphere for the event. In particular, this year’s game exhibition will be expanded to welcome international units and businesses to participate, promising to bring many colors to the leading prestigious event in the gaming industry in Vietnam.

New features of Vietnam GameVerse 2026

Vietnam GameVerse 2026 marks a strong transformation with a series of milestone “firsts”. In addition to friendly matches between players, KOLs and participants, the Organizing Committee coordinated with publishers to bring professional Esports tournaments into the program for the first time, notably the Southeast Asian Esports Cup Tournament, gathering the region’s top teams to compete in many attractive disciplines.

At the same time, a series of fan meetings with leading Vietnamese e-sports teams was also included in the program for the first time, creating a space for direct exchanges between the players and the fan community.

In addition, Vietnam GameVerse 2026 for the first time promotes in-depth B2B activities, with the participation of domestic and foreign businesses, developers and game publishers, opening up many opportunities for connection and cooperation.

This year, Vietnam GameVerse 2026 officially opens ticket sales, allowing the Organizing Committee to invest more deeply in content, experience space and exclusive activities to increase attendees’ experience, contributing to building a sustainable, professional event model, approaching major game – esports events in the region and the world. Attendees who own tickets will have the opportunity to access the entire event ecosystem, including exhibitions, specialized forums, entertainment activities and fan meetings with esports teams.

With an expanded scale and a series of attractive activities, Vietnam Game Festival – Vietnam GameVerse 2026 is expected to attract about 60,000 attendees, continuing to affirm as the leading game event that has a positive impact on the development of the game industry in Vietnam, receiving the attention and support of management agencies, experts in the field, manufacturers, publishers and the domestic and international game lover community.
