Survive in Squid Game: Unleashed not at all simple. Just like in the hit Netflix series, there’s something trying to kill the player at every turn, whether it’s a giant saw blade or a doll with a motion-sensing turret. And that’s before anyone considers the 31 other players fighting for the same prize.

Luckily, unlike in the movies, gamers don’t have to worry about dormitory fights. All the action is on the playing field of this survival game. It’s a brutal dystopia, but there are a few tricks to help players reach the finish line a little easier.

If there’s one general tip for all games, it’s this: Go slower than your instincts tell you. Whether that means waiting for another group of idiots to find faulty glass panels in Glass Bridge or stopping when there’s still time in Red Light, Green Light, the chances of reaching the finish line increase when everyone spends a little more time.

Red Light, Green Light

The first few times you play, everyone will get shot and have to start over. If you want to get to the finish line faster, slow down. It may sound counterintuitive, but stop when there are still a few seconds left on the green light meter.

Resist the urge to use up time and everyone will get good results. Once on the other side of the finish line, players can briefly hit other finishers with a baseball bat. Also, be sure to play with the sounds so you can stop quickly when the alarm goes off.

Glass Bridge

Not every halberd will break under the player’s feet. The easiest way to figure out which tile will break is to let the rest of the crowd fall and do it for you. Stand back at the starting line and soon the true path ahead will be revealed. If you miss and find yourself falling, there are some springboards below the bridge that can propel you back to solid ground.

Floor is Lava

Another nightmare scenario is recreated. Players will again jump and fight for space here, except this time it’s back and forth between an ever-changing series of small islands that are rising and falling. Everyone’s favorite baseball bat will work wonders here.

Late for School

This is a real nightmare scenario, except this time the player’s life is at stake. People had to go around fences, stay away from electrified swimming pools and jump over rows of burning BBQ grills. The most difficult place is crossing the street.

One way to make it easier is, again, patience. People don’t need to run across the street but instead, to avoid becoming the meat in an asphalt sandwich, wait for the first busload to pass. Once you get used to the speed, gamers can cross the road and get one step closer to the finish line.
