At Summer Game Fest 2026, Lucasfilm Games and the development team announced the new story trailer of Star Wars: Galactic Racerwhich introduces central characters, new locations and a clearer look at the podracing races in the game.

The new trailer focuses on the rivalry between Kestar Bool, the current champion of the Galactic League, and playable protagonist Shade.

In Star Wars Galactic Racerplayers will take on the role of Shade, a mysterious racer who joins the Galactic League – an underground racing league founded by Darius Pax in the chaotic Outer Rim region.

Despite being the founder of the league, Pax gradually lost control when Kestar Bool used his influence and shady tricks to dominate the Galactic League. Faced with that situation, Pax decided to recruit Shade, a racer with a personal grudge against the Bool family, to overthrow the champion before his corruption became unstoppable.

The trailer also introduces Derven Acos for the first time, a new location described as the ultimate challenge for racers in the Galactic League.
