Project RX – Step into the vivid isekai world of Nexon
Recently, the anime gaming community exploded when Nexon Games’ IO Division – the giants behind Blue Archive – officially released the first teaser for Project RX.
In just 30 seconds, the in-game trailer has aroused many expectations, painting a picture of an enchanting isekai subculture game, where you not only play but also “live” with cute Vtuber-like girls.
Imagine yourself lost in a dazzling other world (isekai), where everyday life becomes extraordinary thanks to the companionship of vivid 3D characters. Project RX emphasizes immersive storytelling, with gameplay focusing on lifestyle content: reading books with the girls on laptops, cooking cozy meals, or sipping drinks under blooming cherry trees.
Natural gestures and realistic expressions are reminiscent of VRChat or Vtuber live shows, making viewers feel like they’re actually having a conversation with “Koyori-ssi” – the cute name flashed in the trailer – or the lazy cat with a funny pose. That initially peaceful slice-of-life atmosphere suddenly turns into a breathtaking combat, with gorgeous skill effects and flying hieroglyphs, promising dramatic battles mixed with fantasy elements.
What makes Project RX stand out is the team of “veterans” from Blue Archive – the mobile RPG gacha game that has conquered millions of global fans, earning huge revenue thanks to top-notch character design and emotional storyline. Led by Producer Cha Min-seo, deputy PD of Blue Archive, who contributed to turning the game into a subculture icon. Next to him is Art Director Yutoka Mizu (or Yunamul), a talented artist who draws Mika, Kisaki, Yuzu and Miyu – legendary waifus that make fans “pull out their wallets” without hesitation.

RX Studio, part of the IO Division specializing in subculture, is using Unreal Engine 5 to create top-notch visuals: smooth 3D models, realistic lighting, completely avoiding the “plastic” feeling often found in mobile games. The game targets both mobile and PC, suitable for both mobile gacha farming and in-depth experience on the big screen.
Although the specific details, gameplay system or release date are still secret – the teaser only reveals the familiar space of Blue Archive, a modern setting mixed with another world – but the Producer has committed to “an explosion of information next year”. Announced in October 2024, Project RX is not a sequel to BA but an independent project, inspired by PD Kim Yong-ha’s 2022 idea. In the context of isekai dominating anime like Re:Zero or Mushoku Tensei, the game promises to bring Vietnamese otaku culture: deep interaction, relationship building, stylish combat – all wrapped up in a vivid world like a 3D cartoon.
Nexon, the Korean giant with hits like MapleStory, is proving its position through IO Division. If Blue Archive is a “chaotic school”, Project RX could be the next “intimate world”, attracting Vtuber fans and gacha hunters. The trailer evokes a feeling of warmth, intimacy mixed with the thrill of battle, making everyone eagerly wait for what 2026 will bring?
