New “Great War of the Three Kingdoms” mode in Honor of Kings and instructions for playing

In Honor of Kings’ Ranked Season 13 update, a completely new limited-time mode called Tri-National Clash will officially launch from December 31, 2025.

This 3-team game mode allows players in the same country to fight and protect their national reputation. With unique gameplay and tactics, HOK’s new mode promises to bring a dramatic and challenging feeling to those who want to prove their nation’s ultimate power.

Tri-National Clash mode gameplay in Honor of Kings

In the new Tri-National Clash mode, you will be paired with 4 other players with the same national flag or nationality in the game. Your 5-person squad will go head-to-head with 2 rival teams from two other countries, creating a high-speed and extremely tense three-way battle.

This 3-sided battlefield map is designed in a triangular shape, allowing each team to control a certain area of ​​the map right from the early stages.

The goal of this War of the Three Kingdoms mode is clear: defeat the remaining teams and prove your nation is the strongest. However, doing that is not simple, because this mode is divided into many different stages of play, each stage brings its own challenges and variables on the battlefield.

Tips for playing Tri-National Clash mode in HOK

Early game phase

In the first stage of Tri-National Clash mode, your team will be paired with 2 other teams of 5 people. The first priority is to defeat enemies to collect the tokens they drop when defeated. You and your teammates can accumulate a lot of tokens by destroying enemy minions, turrets, and champions.

The first team to collect 100 tokens will immediately be recognized as the winner of the first stage and advance straight to the next round. Therefore, the optimal strategy at this stage is to focus on farming items, coordinate well with teammates to quickly get stronger and defeat opponents effectively.

Final phase of the game

In the final phase of Tri-National Clash mode, the two losing teams in the first phase will immediately ally with each other to challenge the early winning team. This creates an extremely harsh scenario: 5v10, when the winning team at the beginning of the match must face both remaining teams at the same time.

As expected, this is a much more stressful and difficult period, so the goals also change.

The leading team’s task is to gain and keep the score advantage within 90 seconds to prove their superiority. This is the most important phase of the entire game mode, where your team must maintain the title of “Strongest”, or work closely to take that position away from the leading team.
