Location and how to find Shieldbreaker in Highguard

Highguard has a ton of unique mechanics that help it stand out from other shooters. One of those mechanisms is Shieldbreaker, a mystical sword that allows you to infiltrate enemy bases during the raid phase.

This is a very important factor in a match in Highguard, knowing where Shieldbreaker appears can help you win, especially for players new to this raid shooter genre. Here it is What you need to know about Highguard’s unique Shieldbreaker mechanism.

What is Shieldbreaker in Highguard?

Shieldbreaker is the main target in the Intercept phase of the Highguard match. It essentially acts as a “key” that allows you to destroy the enemy base’s shields and attack their base. Shieldbreaker possesses a mysterious sword design, different from all other weapons in the game.

Shieldbreaker is not available during the Gear Up – Prepare Weapon phase and only appears during the Block phase. At this point, both teams will fight for the Shieldbreaker. Once acquired, you can take the Shieldbreaker to the enemy base and crash it into the base’s superstructure. This will summon a Siege Tower and begin the Attack phase of the match, allowing your team to enter the enemy base and destroy it from the inside.

Shieldbreaker location in Highguard

Shieldbreaker does not have a fixed spawn position in every Highguard match. The spawn points are randomly selected each round. Currently, all maps in Highguard have three predetermined locations where Shieldbreaker can appear:

Vesper City

• Warden’s Treasury: This is the most common location for Shieldbreaker, located right in the heart of Vesper city.
• Royal Gardens: An elevated outdoor area, vulnerable to sniper fire.
• Sunken Archives: An underground location best suited for players using a Warden capable of close combat.

Summit

• Golem Forge: This is a huge industrial complex located near the center of the map, where Shieldbreakers often spawn near the main furnace.
• The Queen’s Crypt: This catacomb is filled with ziplines and deep trenches that you need to navigate carefully.
• Frozen Shrine: Here there are two narrow paths leading to the Shieldbreaker, creating tense combat situations.

Kingdom

• Whitevale Castle: This location is located inside Whitevale Castle and is very useful for AoE ultimates.
• Central Belltower: The shield breaker spawns in an open hallway below the tower, with high visibility making the spawn location quite risky.
• The Dungeon: Shieldbreaker spawns below the castle in this dark but item-rich area, which can be quite chaotic during the Intercept phase.

Rivermark

• Vesper Mine: This mine is extremely simple and allows you to easily escape with your mount once you have Shieldbreaker.
• Water Pumps: You can find the Shieldbreaker on a central platform among the giant filtration tanks.
• Geothermal Plant: Shieldbreakers appear on platforms above and often require cables to reach.

Dustline

• Signal Point: You can find the Shieldbreaker in the main operations room.
• Dusty Tunnels: Shieldbreaker appears inside a cramped room, creating chaotic fights.
• The Furnace: This location on the map is quite dangerous, because the narrow underground passages can become a place for ambush.
