Lineage W suddenly opened its social network channels

A Vietnamese language fan page suddenly appeared, showing that Lineage W is on its way to reach Vietnamese and Southeast Asian gamers in the near future.

On the morning of April 3, 2026, the official fanpage of the game Lineage W was suddenly opened. Accompanied by this, a series of other social network channels of this brand also appeared online one after another.

According to the first information obtained from this fanpage, this is a product that will be officially released by NCV Games (a joint venture between NC and VNGGames). This is not too surprising when the first product released in Southeast Asia of this alliance, Lineage2M, has achieved great success and is about to celebrate its 1 year anniversary of entering the market. From that resounding achievement, it is extremely reasonable for these two units to promote the next product. But the object chosen this time is the game Lineage W, which has made the information extremely attractive to the gaming community.

Lineage W is a game in the MMORPG genre developed by NC (formerly NCSOFT) and first released in its home country of Korea in 2021. This is the 5th part in the legendary Lineage series, inheriting the 28-year essence of this classic game series. The product is set in the dark world of Aden 150 years after the original story of the first part.

More specifically, with the vision of maintaining long-term products from NC, Lineage W is designed to exist in parallel with other games in the same series. This is achieved through different designs compared to its siblings such as a different time setting, content and gameplay focusing on the unique “blood pledge” concept. In addition, the game possesses an isometric perspective inherited from the first part combined with 3D graphics to create a different look compared to the 3D over-the-shoulder camera (TPS) style of products in the same series such as Lineage2M.

From those factors, the selection of Lineage W is a carefully calculated step in both bringing a new style to gamers and not becoming a product that directly competes with its brother Lineage2M, which is developing very well. The Vietnamese and Southeast Asian gaming community is about to welcome a new playground with breakthrough experiences from NC – Korea’s leading game manufacturer and VNGGames – Vietnam’s leading game publisher.
