Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes is coming soon

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes offers the opportunity for fans to once again immerse themselves in the emotional journey of Rudeus Greyrat.

On January 10, 2026, in a special program celebrating the 5th anniversary of the anime Mushoku Tensei ~Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu~ broadcast on ABEMA, publisher GREE Entertainment officially announced a new mobile game called Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes (often shortened to Kuroeko by fans).

This is a 3D fighting RPG game set in another world, developed and operated by ASOBIMO – a studio famous for quality mobile games like Toram Online or Avabel Online. The game is expected to launch in 2026 in Japan on both Android and iOS platforms, following a free download model with in-app transactions.

As one of the most popular isekai series, known as the “pyramid” of the “nao” genre (from the light novel website Narou), Mushoku Tensei has conquered millions of viewers thanks to its profound plot, realistically built characters and the main character’s tormenting journey of maturity. Rudeus – a middle-aged man who failed in his previous life – is reincarnated into the magical world with his memories intact. No longer lazy or giving up, he is determined to live his life to the fullest, constantly learning from teachers, friends, and even painful losses.

The newly released teaser PV has made the fan community extremely excited. Although gameplay details have not yet been revealed, the trailer has an anime style, recreating classic moments from season 1 and season 2: the scene where Rudeus wakes up in an infant’s body, the harsh training sessions with Roxy Migurdia – a lovely but strict magic teacher, or the moment of meeting Sylphiette (Sylphy) and Eris Boreas Greyrat – an impulsive but affectionate noble girl.

The trailer focuses on the journey of reincarnation, regrets from previous lives, friendship, love and the determination to “do your best” in the new world. Many fans speculate that the game will closely follow the plot of season 1 of the anime, allowing you to re-experience important events such as the process of learning magic, the adventure with Eris, or the fateful tragedies that change Rudeus’ life. With 3D battle RPG graphics, players can expect epic magical battles, a diverse character system, and familiar collection and upgrade mechanisms in the mobile genre.

However, currently information about gameplay is still quite limited. The official website only announces the cast, cast and teasers, there is no pre-registration or appearance on the app store. This makes some veteran players a bit wary, because many previous anime adaptations have failed to retain players long term (like some cases of pure gacha lacking depth). But with ASOBIMO – a team with extensive experience in building open worlds and attractive combat systems on mobile – many hope this will be a desirable exception.

In particular, the announcement of the game’s release coincides with the Mushoku Tensei anime confirming season 3 will premiere in July 2026, creating an explosive year for fans.
