VideoPad can be downloaded from the NCH Software website (nchsoftware.com/videopad). There are versions for Windows, Mac, Android and Kindle. The Windows and Mac versions are essentially the same, while the Android version is an app available on the Google Play store.
One important thing to note about VideoPad on Windows/Mac is that there is a free version for non-commercial use and a version that offers a free trial, then requires you to purchase when the trial period ends. A prominent red download button on the website leads to a free trial and then paid version, while the completely free version is displayed in small print below (or at nchsoftware.com/software/free-downloads.html).
The free version requires you to confirm that you are using it for non-commercial purposes, after which it will allow you to use its more limited features. This version will then expire and start asking you to pay to open the software. However, on Windows, there is an easy way to downgrade to the non-commercial free version: Just start the uninstallation process as you would with any other software. You will be given several options, one of which is to downgrade to the free version.
