Choosing a character class is the first thing you need to decide when you start playing Sword X Staff. To have the best start, you should choose Mage and go in the Sorcerer direction. How to level up quickly in Sword X Staff
To level up quickly in Sword Progression in Sword X Staff depends more on how far you get on the map than your character level.
Unlocking new areas will yield better rewards, stronger enemy drops, and higher EXP gains. Goddess Statues are the most important items to unlock early as they provide permanent increases to EXP gained and offline rewards that accumulate until the end of the game.
Maximize AFK rewards
AFK rewards are an important part of Sword x Staff progression as you continue to receive EXP, Rolo, ores, and other resources even when offline. You can increase your AFK bonus by doing a few simple things.
Completing areas and activating statues will grant permanent multiplier rewards. Upgrading the Cart at the main base also improves your resource output. Companions, relics, blessings, daily activities, and events can all help increase your AFK rewards even further.
When you first start playing, focus on completing the main story and side areas quickly to unlock more statues and boosts. Get regular AFK rewards and upgrade Carts whenever possible to increase resource income faster.
Gacha system and currency in Sword x Staff
The game has two separate summoning systems, requiring players to manage resources carefully. Skill Gacha gives you skills and talismans, with a generous insurance mechanic that allows you to choose a solid Legendary skill after 200 spins. The Relic Gacha system allows you to get high-level relics with a solid rare drop rate every 10 spins.
The biggest pitfall for new players is spending premium currencies like Luminium or premium Stellatie summon gems in the early Verdantglade maps. The standard blue banner draws from a large pool of low-level skills, which quickly become obsolete.
Instead, save all your premium currency and Skill Shard Voucher for the Pink Premium Banner, unlocked later in Cinder Ridge. It includes advanced, long-term skills tailored specifically to your chosen class branch.
