Instructions for playing Sky: Children of the Light with friends
How to make friends in Sky Child of the Light how? You already know how to play Sky: Children of the Light with friends yet? Let’s find out with Download.com.vn!
Sky: Children of the Light is certainly a true MMO, with other players always around as you explore, but figuring out how to make friends in the game isn’t clearly explained. Like Thatgamecompany’s previous Journey game, Sky: Children of the Light takes a somewhat minimalist, vague approach to multiplayer and online friendship.
It’s important to know that you’ll need to unlock the ability to interact with each person you’ve made friends with. This is something TGC creative director Jenova Chen emphasized in order to design a safe online game.
Here are some typical features and how to use them in a social game like Sky:
- Hold hand: A candle, unlocked immediately upon becoming friends
- High fives, hugs, expressions: Candle prices change throughout the constellation of friendship
- Text chat: Three candles, unlocked after hugs and high fives
- Warp: 10 ascending candles at the second level of friendship. Not to be confused with teleporting to a friend’s map area, teleporting takes you directly to their location and clasping hands.
- Give gifts with in-app purchases: Free, but is on the second friendship level and allows you to gift premium purchases and season passes to that friend.
In this article, let’s learn how to play Sky: Children of the Light with friends to have wonderful relaxing moments in beautiful graphics.
Make sure to make friends
The first step to playing Sky: Children of the Light with your friends is to add them as friends on Switch.
If they’re playing on Switch, make sure they’re friends on their Nintendo account. If they’re playing on mobile, go to the next step.
SCOTL has a cross-play feature so gamers can play on Switch or mobile devices comfortably. Players of all devices can participate in co-op play together.
Instruct more friends
People can add someone as a friend in Sky: Children of the Light once they’ve added that person to their Nintendo account’s friends list.
To do this, open the pause menu by pressing Plus button on JoyCon or Pro controller. Navigate to Invite and everyone will be taken to a menu asking to invite a Nintendo or mobile friend.
Click whichever option applies and as long as the person has played Sky: Children of the Light, they can be added as a friend by sending a friend request.
If that person doesn’t play Sky: Children of the Light, people won’t be able to see them. If your friend plays on a mobile phone, look up their nickname.
How to play Sky: Children of the Light with friends
Now comes the trickiest part of this whole process: actually playing SCOTL together. This section will be divided into smaller steps for players to follow.
Reboot Sky: Children of the Light
If the player and friend have just added each other, everyone may have to restart the game in case the 2 people do not appear together.
Go to Home Island and stand on Stone Circle
On your Home Island, stand on the Stone Circle mounted on the floor, it will be directly across from the archway. Press the button Y on it to display the constellation menu. From here, the player will have to search through the constellations using the buttons L and R until my friend’s name appeared.
Start playing with friends
Once you see your friend’s name, click on it and they will appear in front of the character. However, this is not the true embodiment of that friend.
Click on them and move the cursor up until you’re on what looks like an icon a person standing next to a dotted line leading to a triangle (it looks like someone flying a kite at a glance).
This is the button Join Friend and when you press to use it, everyone’s character will be moved to your friend’s position. Now everyone can play games together, complete puzzles, release spirits, and grow their wings.
