Step 1: First, we will Open and log in to a VNeID account on your phone.

Step 2: At the main interface of the application, click on item Setting in the lower right corner of the screen.

Step 3: In the Settings section of VNeID, tap the item Change phone.

Step 4: Then, people should press the button Create new request.

Some notes when changing phone numbers on VNeID

• Update application version: This feature is only available on VNeID version 2.2.8 and above. Please check and update the app to the latest version to use this feature.
• Face authentication: The system requires a face scan to authenticate identity. Make sure to do this in a place with adequate lighting so that the system can recognize it accurately.
• New phone number: The new phone number must be the original owner’s number and must not be used for another account. The system will display a notification if the phone number entered is already in use or is the same as your current phone number.
• Processing time: Processing time for phone number change request usually takes 7 to 10 working days. The Ministry of Public Security will send a confirmation message to the new phone number after completion.
