How to upgrade a group to community chat on Zalo

To upgrade to community chat, the group needs to have at least 100 members. People can still continue to work in groups of 100 people without having to upgrade to a community. Note that, once upgraded to community chat, it cannot be returned to the Zalo chat group.

On Zalo for phones

• Open the Zalo application and access group chat want to become a community.
• In the top right corner, click icon to open Options.
• Click Group upgrade to the community (note, when the group reaches 100 members, a new upgrade item is displayed).
• If the group leader has not yet authenticated the Zalo account, refer to the article Instructions for authenticating the Zalo account. Once you have a verified account, click Confirm upgrade.

On Zalo PC

• Open the Zalo application and access group chat want to become a community.
• In the top right corner, click icon to open Conversation information.
• Click Upgrade nowread the instructions and make sure to authenticate your account on the Zalo phone application.
• Once your account has been successfully authenticated, press Confirm upgrade.
