| Weapon type | How to get |
| Sword | As the default weapon players will start with in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you don’t need to do anything to unlock the Sword. |
| Spear | Spear is the second weapon players will unlock. It will be available when you complete the Battle of Guangyang in Chapter 1. Once completed, the game will guide you to the store and get this weapon. |
| Gauntlets | If you do not currently possess the Gauntlet, it is likely that you would not have been able to defeat Zhou Cang in the Battle of Guangzong in Chapter 1. Defeat this character to unlock a new way to inflict pain on enemies. |
| Wheels | Found during the Suppression of You Province battle in Chapter 2, after defeating Zhang Ju or Qiliuju, you will see this weapon dropped on the battlefield. |
| Podao | After defeating all the champions along the way in Subjugation of the White Wave Bandits in Chapter 2, Podao will be added to your arsenal. |
| Staff | Progress in the Assassination of Dong Zhuo battle. Then you will find yourself in the castle. Locate the southwest room, defeat the generals there to get the Staff. Note that Lu Bu will follow you closely, so destroy your opponents quickly to survive. |
| Twin Pikes | Enter the Battle of Hulao Gate in Chapter 2 and defeat Zhang Liao to get the Twin Pikes. |
| Lance | The Lance can be yours in the Battle of Xu Province in Chapter 3. Depending on your choice of allegiance, the way to obtain the weapon will vary according to who needs to be defeated. However, hunting them all will ensure that you get Lance. |
