Bilgewater TFT season 16 revolves around mechanics Ngan Xa + Black Market – You accumulate Silver Serpents each round and when Bilgewater defeats enemies to “buy buffs/equipment & treasures” to help your team become stronger. The main force is usually champions that deal great damage like Miss Fortune, Fizz or Tahm Kench. The Bilgewater lineup is suitable for snowball play, suitable for those who want to build gradually with each round. Race/Activation System & Main Mechanics
Ngan Xa & Black Market mechanism
Each round, receive Silver Snake coins (+2 for each Bilgewater kill). Use in the Black Market to buy bonus stats and special items.
This mechanism helps Bilgewater “grow in strength over time” — if you know how to maintain health + manage Silver Snake well, the team will get stronger each round instead of depending on rolling lucky champions.
Bilgewater activation milestones & rewards
- 3 Bilgewater → +18 Silver Snake/round
- 5 Bilgewater → +30 Silver Snake + unlock upgraded loot
- 7 Bilgewater → +55 Silver Snake + premium loot
- 10 Bilgewater → +150 Silver Snake + 2× stat buff & the right to fire cannons (strong effect)
General Playstyle & When to Play Bilgewater
Bilgewater is suitable for players who want to Gain resource advantage – snowball from mid to late gamenot completely dependent on early 3-stars.
- Ideal when you receive early ≥ 3 Bilgewater at the beginning of the match to accumulate Silver Snake early.
- When you have Resistance sub-system (Fighter/Brave/Guardian…) to ensure the team survives long enough.
- When you feel My Black Market has many things suitable for the set play style – because Bilgewater’s power is closely tied to buffs/loot.
If you don’t manage Silver Snake well or your opponent destroys it early, Bilgewater can easily “exhaust” due to lack of solid damage/center.

Suggested lineup – by stage
Early game
Gangplank, Sion, Twisted Fate, Illaoi
Buff trigger: 3 Bilgewater + 2 Gladiators
- Click 3 Bilgewater early to start charging Silver Snake.
- Prioritize keeping the winning streak if you roll Gangplank/Illaoi early to keep the buff.
- Level up to level 4 in round 2-1.
Mid game
Gangplank, Sion, Twisted Fate, Illaoi, Nautilus, Graves.
Buff trigger: 5 Bilgewater + 2 Gladiators
- Add champions like Nautilus and Graves to increase resistance + damage.
- When reaching 5 Bilgewater → open powerful loot / buffs through the Black Market.
- Up 6 in round 3-2.
Late game (Full build)
Core Generals: Miss Fortune, Fizz, Tahm KenchOrnn, Poppy, Illaoi, Nautilus, Graves, Twisted Fate.
Keep the Bilgewater generals as the main ones, you can play any general you want, but the most reasonable is still to add Ornn and Poppy to increase resistance. The tank line already has Fizz and Tahm Kench to deal damage, and below MF will be the main force. Unfortunately, Miss Fortune’s skill this season is not shooting in a cone like previous seasons.
If you want to make it harder, you can use Darkin with Aatrox and Zaahen, but look for Xin Zhao first at the beginning of the game. Xin Zhao is the key to activating Zaahen, and he also combines easily with Nautilus so you can roll XZ to 3 stars to meet Zaahen at the end.
Tips & notes when playing Bilgewater
- Always prioritize activating 3 Bilgewater early – The sooner you accumulate Silver Snake, the stronger it will be.
- Manage Ngan Xa well: Don’t let “small quests/buffs” waste Silver Snake – only buy when you need it.
- Prepare a resistance system or tanker before applying damage, because Bilgewater easily “explodes” damage – and lacks resistance and can easily be blown away.
- Loot & Equipment should be prioritized for carry & tankshould not be spread evenly – concentrate strength on 1-2 main forces.
- Align landmark 5 → 7 Bilgewater for the strongest loot & buffs – usually the moment you have a big advantage.
Why should you play Bilgewater season 16?
- Has unique snowball gameplay through resources, not dependent on early 3-stars.
- Flexible: many champions/systems to rotate depending on loot & roll – suitable for changing meta.
- High reward: if you know how to manage Ngan Xa & loot well → strength increases gradually with each round, very strong in the middle – late game.
- Entertainment & strategy: requires resource management thinking, choosing when to go all-in – not simply pressing reroll.
