Players will experience the daily life of this animal, including finding food, finding water and surviving amid the countless harsh dangers of the game world. However, while living as a dinosaur is initially fun and engaging, players may gradually find the experience dull and lacking in emphasis. Currently, The Isle has two separate versions: Legacy (original version) and Evrima branch (test version in development). When you first start, you’ll experience the Legacy version with basic features but lacking the polish and improvements found in the Evrima branch. Those who want to experience more can join the Evrima trial version. Below are instructions how to convert and play Evrima in The Isle.

Instructions for playing Evrima in The Isle

To switch versions from Legacy to Evrima in The Isle game, players need to close the game and open Steam. Here, go to the Library and search for The Isle; This won’t take long.

Once you find The Isle, right-click on the game name to open a menu that includes options: PLAY, Add to favorites, Add to >, Manage > and Properties. Left-click on Properties to open another menu with tabs: GENERAL, UPDATES, LOCAL FILES, LANGUAGE, BETAS and CONTROLLER.

Players need access to the BETAS card. Here, you will see a drop-down menu showing the option “none” . Clicking this menu will display two options: “none” and another option named “evrima – EVRIMA Public Branch“. Select this second option and close the menu.

Soon, the download of the update for The Isle will begin. This update includes the Evrima branch, giving players access to many official test (beta) servers as well as new features included. Once the download is complete, you may need to restart Steam for the changes to take effect. It’s simple: just click the Steam toolbar in the top right corner and select Exit.

After updating the game and restarting Steam (if necessary), simply open The Isle as usual. In the main menu, select “Play”; Instead of seeing Legacy servers, you will see about a dozen official Evrima Public Branch servers. Choose the server that best suits you and join. So, you can play Evrima at any time and switch back to the Legacy version by repeating the steps above.
