The best starting Evomon in the game Evomon Roblox
The first thing you need to do when starting to play Evomon is choose a starting Evomon between Bubble, Blazpup and Leafbun. Here’s a detailed breakdown of all three options so you can make the most informed decision when choosing your starter Evomon:
| Bubble (Best for quick play in the early game.) | Bubble is the best starting Evomon for everyone. Bubble is a Water-type Evomon, giving it an elemental advantage over the Evomon and Bosses in Verdant Valley and Lava Crag (2 of the first 3 worlds you’ll explore). This makes progression in the early stages of the game much faster and easier. |
| Blazpup (Evomon deals the best early damage) | Blazpup deals the highest damage with both basic and special skills among the three starting Evomon. However, this Evomon almost always has an elemental disadvantage on the starting islands and only becomes a viable option once you get to the middle of the game. Unless you’re looking for a challenge or want to prepare for mid- and late-game content right from the start, you shouldn’t pick up this starter Evomon. |
| Leafbun (Best survival ability) | If you are a defensive-minded player and don’t mind slow progress, Leafbun will be the right choice. This Evomon has healing skills and high base health (higher than both other starting Evomon). How to catch Evomon first
Evomon are caught using different types of balls, incl
- Basic Ball — Free, low catch rate, good for popular EvoMons
- Enhanced Ball — Better catch rate, can be crafted or purchased from the shop
- Rare Ball — High catch rate, best for rare Evomon
- Lucky Ball — Special ball with higher catch rate
Reducing the target’s HP and applying status effects (sleep, freeze) will greatly increase the odds of capturing Evomon.
Level up quickly by focusing all your energy on one Evomon
The biggest mistake new players often make is allocating experience points (EXP) to the entire squad. Experience is shared between every creature in your active squad, so an overcrowded squad will cause each member to level slowly, which in turn, slows down Evomon’s evolution.
- Eliminate all Evomon except the one you want to level up quickly.
- If your target is too weak to fight, use stronger Evomon to defeat tough enemies quickly, then switch in the training monster when it can survive. As soon as it can fight on its own, let it engage in combat on its own to gain full EXP.
- Feed Evomon the EXP items you earn as rewards, follow main quests on each island, and rely on rewards from bosses instead of slow wild battles. Main quests provide experience, currency, and unlockable items that open up stronger areas.
- When an Evomon reaches its maximum level, it can still absorb a little more experience, but that’s wasted potential. You’ll progress faster by focusing EXP on whatever is actively training.
All mutations in Evomon
As of the release of Evomon, there are two types of mutations in Evomon: Shiny and Prismatic.
When fighting an Evomon and trying to capture it, you can see the odds of getting the Shiny or Prismatic version in the bottom left corner of the screen. Similarly, when incubating eggs, it is also possible that Evomon will be a Shiny or Prismatic version.
The Shiny mutation is rarer and more valuable because it boosts Evomon’s stats, while also adding a unique appearance to it. On the other hand, the Prismatic mutation is only cosmetic and is much more common.
Weather events in Evomon
Evomon provides a dynamic weather system that changes worldwide every 15 minutes. Some weather patterns have a real effect on the battle, so build your squad based on the weather pattern that is occurring.

How to unlock Evomon skills
To unlock Ultimate Ability and stronger skills for Evomon, you need to level up the monster. Each Evomon’s Ultimate Ability will be unlocked when reaching level 30. However, it is not the final skill. You can level up your account to increase each Evomon’s level cap and unlock even more skills.
To level up Evomon, you need to earn Evomon experience points (EXP). Use Evomon in battles and feed them EXP items you receive as rewards to quickly level up.
Once you reach level 30 and unlock the Ultimate Ability, you can unlock more skills by going to Main City and talking to NPC Daisy.
