How to feed NPCs in Grow a Garden
NPCs are non-player characters, such as Sam, Raphael, or many others. You can’t control them, but you can completely feed some NPCs.
By doing so, players will receive event rewards or friendship points to unlock new items in the store.
Most NPCs in Grow a Garden have the same mechanism: just equip them with the food the player wants, then interact.
For example, on PC, people can approach Sam while holding a Smoothie, holding down the key E to feed Sam. At that time, your friendship points with Sam will increase. However, players can only feed Sam once within 24 hours.
If you don’t have food to feed the NPC, you need to cook it first. The main way to cook is to unlock the Cooking Kit by completing certain achievements, then adding ingredients to create a recipe. Gamers refer to the collection of recipes in Grow A Garden to create dishes with high rarity, helping to receive more points when given to NPCs.
All NPC birthdays in Grow A Garden
In Grow A Garden, there are many different NPCs and each person will have their own birthday according to the in-game calendar. When it’s a character’s birthday, instead of giving random food, the player should give a birthday cake to receive a reward. Currently, there is only information about Eloise’s (Gear Shop owner) birthday.
At first, the game displayed the date December 16 even though it was actually September 6. This is because time in the game runs quickly (each day in the game = 4 hours in real life). When it’s an NPC’s birthday, a notification will appear that they only receive birthday cakes.
| NPC | Birthday | Location | Award |
| Eloise | March 4 (September 19, real time) | Gear Shop | 1 Grandmaster Sprinkler, 3 Level Up Lollipop |
| Isaac | December 1 | Cosmetic Shop | 1 Sign Crate, 1 Farmers/Gnome Crate, 1 Statue/Beach Crate |
| Raphael | October 30 | Pet Shop | 1 Legendary Egg, 1 Mythical Egg, 1 Bug Egg |
| Sam | July 2 | Seed Shop | 2-3 Divine Seed, 2-3 Prismatic Seed |
| Steven | Not clear yet | Sell Shop | Not clear yet |
