How to convert lesson content in textbooks into videos
Video illustrations always help make the lessons in books more interesting. Below are instructions on how to create a simple but engaging lesson opening video using AI.
The article uses ChatGPT to receive command suggestions to create a script for the poem The Moon Shines in My Yard. You can create your own desired script for your video illustrating any lesson. Remember to include a detailed description of the image style and specific scenes. The more detailed the command, the more accurate the AI can give you results.
How to create a video to open a lesson in a textbook
Step 1: Take a photo of the lesson or copy the content in the book and upload it to ChatGPT.
Step 2: Enter the command to have ChatGPT suggest a prompt to create a video on Google Flow. For example:
You are an expert in writing video creation commands on flow or meta ai. Please help me write a prompt to create a 10-second video illustrating a poem about the reading exercise The Moon Shines in Your Yard for 1st graders. This is the content of the poem:
The full moon is bright
See your yard clearly
The late moonlight is brighter than the lights
Oh bright moon
See your yard clearly
Rows of areca trees stood silently
Rows of banana trees stood still
The bird forgot to cry
The worm forgot to make a sound
Only the moon shines brightly
See your yard clearly
Step 3: Edit the necessary content and copy the prompt.
Step 4: Sign in to Google Flow > Upload the artwork you want for your video. You can skip this step because Flow can also suggest images for you.
Step 5: Enter the command to create the desired video based on the poem’s content in the right frame of the screen or click on the uploaded image and enter the command in the box below the image. Try to clearly state the images and actions you want in each scene so that AI will give the most appropriate results. For example:
Create a 3D animation video about 10 seconds long, 16:9 ratio, 4K quality, educational animation style for first graders, bright but gentle colors, lovely, warm, emotional.
Setting: A beautiful small Vietnamese house at night. The yard is clean and peaceful. In the sky was a full moon, large and bright, shining a gentle silver light onto the yard, making the yard brighter than the lights. Rows of tall, vertical areca trees and rows of green banana trees stand still in the night. A small bird lay quietly on a branch, not singing; A small worm on a leaf also lay still. The space is extremely quiet and poetic.
Camera developments in 10 seconds:
0–3 seconds: The camera slowly advances across the roof, toward the sky. The full moon appeared large, radiating soft light into the yard.
3–6 seconds: The camera gently lowers, the entire yard is clearly illuminated by moonlight. A small light on the porch was still on, but the moonlight was more prominent.
6–8 seconds: The camera pans slowly through rows of areca nut and banana trees standing still, the leaves only slightly moving in the wind.
8–10 seconds: The camera returns to the image of a full moon in the sky, moonlight covering the yard. The bird and the caterpillar remained quiet, creating a feeling of quiet late at night.
Background reading, female elementary school teacher’s voice is gentle, slow, and clear in Vietnamese:
“The full moon is bright,
See your yard clearly.
The late moonlight is brighter than the lamp…”
Sound: Gentle children’s background music, very gentle night wind, soothing natural sounds. No strong noises.
Image requirements: Cute characters and scenes, rounded shapes, soft cinematic lighting, friendly expressions, not scary, suitable for children 6–7 years old. Camera movement is slow, smooth, no shaking. No text, subtitles, watermark or logo appear on the video. Keep the character design and setting consistent from start to finish.
Step 6: Wait for AI to process the information and receive results.
Note, currently free Google Flow accounts only support creating videos up to 10 seconds within the user’s existing credit limit. If you want longer videos and more credits, you need to upgrade your account.
